This salon is on hip & trendy w 3 stylists working. Not a big overwhelming place. Cozy, comfortable overlooking blue river and closeup view of Breckinridge mountains. How cool is that! When I reside in CO in summertime, I frequent there. Prices are reasonable with excellent stylish services. I tried Paul Mitchell color system, wow, it was sensational - color was vibrant and shiny with less ammonia. My stylist was Amanda. She is awesome and very skilled. She absolutely knows color and trends. She is friendly and relaxed about puttingg you at ease with her abilities. This is a boutique salon right in Breckinridge without big glitz and drama! Paige did my hair for my wedding, and also did my mom's hair and best friends hair on the big day without getting to do a trial with either one, and they both loved their hair. So I'm staying nearby and in town from miami. I broke my ankle and couldn't snowboard the last 2 days so decided to venture out and get pampered. I came in for a hair wash and blow dry . My hair stylist named Paige was awesome. She was super nice and very helpful with my clumsy self on crutches. She was so fast too. My hair was done in less than an hour . It looked great. Paige from Roots did a wonderful job with everyone's hair for my wedding day on 3/28/15. Through the whole process from trial to wedding day she always made me feel special. She did the hair of my mom and two bridesmaids along with me and we all loved her and the quality of her work. The best part about her personality is how comfortable she is to be around and she is a great listener. She did our hair at the condo we rented out and arrived early to set up a "hair station". Very pleased. Went in today for the first time. I've been driving to denver to have a big chain cut my hair. Decided to support local today. Meleni gave me a fantastic haircut. Not only did I find the salon to be very inviting and a great atmosphere, but the stylist was great as well. I found through casual conversation that she was a near lifetime cosmetologist. Incredibly pleased with my haircut. I usually wear my hair in a pompadour, which can be tricky. She not only was spot on with her work, but improved on my usual. They also offered value. After living in Summit county for 9 years I have finally found a hairstylist I love. Paige is amazing and took me from an awful hair situation to a great one! I had my hair done by another stylist who turned my head orange...after waiting it out and trying again I finally gave up on said stylist and went to Paige. She fixed me up in no time! People are always commenting on how natural my highlights look and I have Paige to thank for that. I have hair down to my waist and am usually in a salon for hours. This place was recommended by my former stylist in Denver and did not disappoint. Peggy was able to get me in due to a cancellation and did the most wonderful job in my hair. We moved to Breckenridge from the east coast in November. The two hardest relationships to replace any time we move is a caring vet for our German Shepherd and a fabulous hair stylist for me! I looked on Yelp (of course), and asked around and investigated...and decided on Roots. I made an appointment late on December 1st for early the next morning. Not only was my appointment confirmed, but I also got a personal email from Peggy later that evening. I arrived the next morning to a really intimate, relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. Peggy had great music on, the view of Breck is amazing, and she sat with me and looked over all the pictures I keep to show the hair color and style I want. She listened to my hair issues (and there are many...I am excruciatingly particular about my color) and was fully engaged in finding the color product that would best suit me. The actual appointment was a delight! Peggy is a real pro, knows her color and cut, understood my crazy, naturally curly hair that I like to straighten, and the best part was her easy going, conversational, open nature. Felt like I had known her forever, and if I am ever in there for future appointments when I don't feel like talking, I know I can tell her and we can just be peaceful.
