She's had a lot fun throughout this summer filled with trips as well as learning about intra/interpersonal skills, while continuing to practice her academics. She felt that she was in a safe & clean environment. Each week she encountered a new experience that she would come home to share with me. The provided meals & transportation was very accommodating and made my parent summer experience so seamless I didn't even realize school was approaching so quickly :). We knew going into this that they had never had a special needs child in their program, but they were willing and we were grateful for the attempt. Unfortunately, once we made a sizable donation to the center, communication from the owner completely stopped despite multiple attempts (probably 6-7 outreaches via text/app/emails/in-person reminders) to speak with her from both my husband and I. Although they were moving locations at the same time, there is no excuse to not speak with honesty and integrity to the parents of the children you're serving. As special needs parents, this isn't the first or last time but it stung deeply. If you have a neurotypical kid, perhaps this is the setting for you. But communication leaves a lot to be desired and this place is certainly not for special needs children.

Trust is something earned, and something that can be totally lost. O2B Boynton Beach lost my trust, my husband's trust, my extended families trust and several other families as well. My son started 02B West Boynton in September last year shortly after his first birthday. At the time I felt very welcomed, my child felt welcomed, and I thought he would be safe. That changed following very unfortunate situations that could've been completely avoidable. We had to pull our son out of O2B immediately following two incidences, including a a non-verbal child being lost and alone. Found my his mother in an empty classroom. (DCF was involved and school was reprimanded greatly, new protocols were put into place ect. (you know like safety!) And my child was sent home with fecal matter crusted to his genitals over six hours after he had a bowel movement. These are just two incidents of many, but the last straw to the mother/family of a young toddler. Our son is our world, and if you want quality childcare where your child is safe, cared for and protected- DONT enroll at O2B. Here are some key points on what to expect at O2B: -School looks welcoming, fun and colorful and very inviting. Bubbles and music greet you. Fun activities sprinkled throughout the year. Real enticing. -Nearly daily upon arrival, parents will come up to the front stating the teacher is not in the room they're supposed to be in or that the teacher is not there at all. -There's a hoard of cleaning products on a shelf in the children's restroom in the hallway. Accessible for students. This bathroom is 1000% utilized by children during the day mostly VPK. -In less than a year our son had over 20 teachers because the turnaround rate at that school is enough to be concerned about alone. One of the teachers had a complete nervous breakdown in front of our children and was removed from the two year-old room and put in a classroom with older students. And gossip from staff is seen, a heard. -My son nearly had his finger broken in half because a teacher wasn't paying attention and closed a commercial grad impact rated door on his finger leading from the classroom outside. His teacher told me it was bleeding everywhere, yet other staff member said it was a tiny cut. When I got there, it was a large laceration. -Head injuries are daily occurrence at the school, just be prepared for them to tell you that your child came to school with a goose egg on their head, bite marks on their shoulder blades, and bruises randomly. -White gates that are RARLY closed or locked (locking mechanism engaged). -Unapproved/violation inducing retractable gates that are in code violation for fire safety corralling the children away from the doors in the younger classrooms. These items are cleverly, not engaged or removed before the DCF and health dept inspections. It's always interesting to watch someone sweat a few days and during an evaluation from these outsourced entities. The school always be up to par with DCF and health department? You would completely assume that the answer would be yes! -We were under the total expectation that the children have a white binder that goes home at the end of the year showing their progression and work. When we left, there was literally three pieces of paper in it that were completed and everything else was blank. What type of progress is that I was told during my two viewings of the school that this was a very big part of the curriculum, I guess they forgot.? -Excuses upon excuses is what the staff, director- Carlee, assistant director - Daniella (deer in headlights), and the 3rd in charge (forgot her name). Nothing but excuses and half *ss apologies for lack of safety and supervision. Jessica, the school manager or supervisor, does not make herself known or her position known. She does not thrive in a confrontational environment, especially when they have no more excuses to give. -I have far too many instances, action reports, instant reports to even discuss. There is no reason why any parent want their child or children to go to O2B kids in West Boynton Beach. There are better options. We were very lucky to find an incredible school, where our son is absolutely thriving in a safe, loving, and educationally driven environment. I waited a year to post this because I want to make sure it wasn't an issue, making sure I wasn't looking into things that didn't exist. But O2B is perfectly clear. It's a Monet. It is a dumpster fire. And it is unsafe. I was in the education system for over 15 years for the Palm Beach County school district. Our children deserve better than this.

Even with the high academic standards we uphold at home, the school's curriculum propelled our son beyond expectations, helping him reach and exceed his potential. The educational stimulation provided was exactly what he needed, and now, he is a well-rounded young gentleman who is respectful, kind, and responsible. Our son excels in reading, math, science, and general comprehension. Miss Nancy and the wonderful teachers there even nurtured his curiosity with chess and Sudoku, keeping him actively engaged. We were delighted when our second child was accepted into their daycare program.

School is declining since new ownership…read more So this USED to be a good school years ago, that we would recommend to others. The previous owner (Edma) was very nice people and you had some really good teachers. Like any school, not all teachers are perfect but most genuinely care about the children. Fast forward to about mid-2016 and the previous owners sold the school to Miss Nancy ( http://tinyurl.com/abcwork ). Parents felt something changed but couldn't quite figure out WHAT changed. Well, we realized that we no longer saw Miss Edma there despite the school still having her certificates on the wall. If there's new ownership, why not let parents know that? Why the secrecy? It seems that the new ownership does not want it to be known for some reason. We believe it's because many parents do not like the new owner, based on conversations with other parents at the school. It's also frustrating when you're told to pay the weekly dues by a certain day but there's never someone at the front desk when you arrive. Then by WED, you're told that they'll waive the late fee as a courtesy. It wouldn't be a problem if a) There was someone at the desk to take our payment and b) The school would keep the credit card info on file so they could just charge it. We're told that's not possible to do but yet other schools will apparently do that for you just fine. Very frustrating when you just want to drop off your child and get to the office. Several parents have taken their children out of ABC and I don't doubt others will too. Hopefully the school will sort out their issues and work on their customer service skills before they lose more customers and teachers.

The Junior League of Boca Raton is a wonderful organization to get involved in. After being an…read moreactive sorority member in college, I felt the need to get back involved in the community again post graduation so I joined the Junior League. The League gives you a multitude of ways to volunteer to help different organizations that deal with sectors such as children's welfare and fighting hunger. The League donates needed resources and thousands of volunteer hours to various non-profits in the area. As a first year active member, I meet someone new at almost every volunteer shift, training, or event I attend. There are numerous leadership opportunities as well. As with any organization, you get out as much as you put in. I'm very happy I joined the JLBR and would highly recommend it to any woman who is looking to improve herself!

They keep her excited and engaged which I love seeing the pictures of at the end of the day! My daughter has become so talkative and I know it's all because of them. She gets excited when we arrive at the school and she sees her teachers! That is a great way to start the day! I also love the Tigers classroom with Ms Bernice where my 3.5 yr old recently joined. They are learning to write and she is singing songs in Spanish with sign language! That is amazing! I am glad my older daughter is finally where she belongs to be, with her peers!

As she grew she was moved through 3 different classes and ALL the teachers were amazing! We moved over 3 months ago and the teachers still check in on my daughter and tell me how much they miss her.
