I came in at 9:00 am (the only slot they had- they seem to book up fast), and my photoshoot was at 4:00 so I was a little nervous- but my hair held up wonderfully and I'm obsessed with the photos. Showed up for my appointment and the salon was dead empty (1st red flag) with their discount on papers plastered everywhere (2nd red flag). Had to wait 10 minutes as they got my hairstylist who was doing who knows what in her car....(3rd red flag). I asked for a simple "modern mullet" hairstyle similar to what I nornally had with just the sides shaved and top and back trimmed. My hairstylist then proceeds to shave my sides almost all the way to the top, so I resemble "Cillian Murphy" from Peaky Blinders. I get it caters to a female clientale more, but really....? Turns out the 20% discount ended up not even mattering. The total cost was $40, but yet I had to pay $36...(20% of 40 is $32). Still, I chalked it up to just a bad haircut at a shady place and I could move on. Yet, turns out AGAIN, my debit card info was stolen from here, resulting in multiple DoorDash orders totaling over $500. So I beg anyone, avoid going to this place or you definitely will be paying for more than just a terrible haircut.

I got the exact cut I wanted and the color is spot-on. Apparently this salon is pretty new (only open for a few months). But if you're considering coming here - do it. You won't regret it. Isis spent A LOT of time on my cut and color (almost 3.5 hours) and it only cost $85!! Amazing. Even with the $20 tip, that's still significantly less than most places in D.C. would charge. She was thorough, very nice, and continually asked me if I was okay (is the water too warm or cold when shampooing? How long would you like the side-sweep? Do you want some water?). They then asked for a phone number to confirm the appointment. I said that if they could see the number I was calling from, that number was fine to use. After a moment of silence, instead of responding normally, the person suddenly yelled "HELLOOOO?" into the phone.
