I read some reviews and called Metro Salon hoping there was an opening- and Jody picked up and found time for me the next day! I don't write a lot of reviews--- but my experience was SO GOOD I can't help myself. Jody is a true expert. She asked a bunch of questions to get to know my hair type and what I like, then dove right in. Gave me an incredible fresh blunt cut (exactly what I wanted!) without cutting off too much length- then gave me gorgeous natural highlights at the exact tone I was looking for. Seriously, I have been getting the same combo for 20 years (trim and partial highlight) and this might be the best one yet. It is something that I have never seen in a salon before and I have been in some of those "Hollywood" type salons when I lived in Indianapolis. I wasn't sure if they had real life zombies working there, but I made sure that someone with a pulse gave me my manicure when it was my turn. Really strange place and I never went back. The Salon on the other hand, everyone has personality and they offer all sorts of beauty services. It's a "Full Service" salon. And I am so happy that we have one around here within walking distance now. I've seen her between 4-5 times over the last year and I have never been happier with my hair. She's fantastic at haircuts and really makes sure that she understands your vision before she gets to work. She's also fantastic at looking at a picture of someone's hair color and doing the exact same thing on your head! If you don't believe me, go check the reviews on her booking website! She is friendly, easy to talk to, and just real. Sometimes the women I've seen at other salons can be a bit fake or flaky, but not Ashley. She also knows her stuff. Over the years she has taught me a lot about skincare. At each visit she takes her time to do it right - carefully waxing, tweezing, and everything else. Some staff at other places I've visited can be lazy or careless, but never Ashley. Also her prices are AMAZINGLY LOW.
