Wasn't into their beers but liked a few of their kombuchas. Got a four pack to take with us on our road trip !

Went here for the first time not knowing much about kombucha. They're very helpful with the menu and the venue inside is very well decorated and the vibes are great. Anytime of the day you'll find it relaxing and a great place to hangout. The kombucha itself is by far the best I've ever had before. Their cocktails are also great too! Highly recommend giving this place a try!

10/10 kombucha brewery. First, the kombucha. It is well-crafted: professional, delicious, consistent. Flavors were impressive across the board and ranged from comforting and crushable (blueberry thyme) to unusual and edgy (vanilla rooibos ashwagandha) to snazzy and seasonal (apple chaga chai). Tons of winners and vanishingly few losers. They have mastered getting just the right amount and true character from each flavor without going over the top. Grapefruit, cranberry, jalapeno, ginger. All so well executed. If you get hungry while you're tossing back flights, grab some of the local hummus and warm pita. The perfect accompaniment. If the showstopping kombucha flavors weren't enough to keep you coming back, they also boast an awesome cozy beautiful hangout space located in the coolest neighborhood: right next door to Onggi, a ferment shop, and also very near LB Kitchen, an extremely high quality and very vegan-friendly restaurant/cafe. We traveled a long way to get to Root Wild and cannot wait to make the trip back.

I adore this place. The inside is spacious, with a ton of bar seating, table seating, and plush couches if you can snag them. The ceilings are high and there are plants galore. And best of all, there's no pressure to be in-and-out: I've spent hours here sipping on kombucha and reading, chatting with friends, avoiding the rain, etc., and never felt any pressure to rush and leave. That, alone, makes Root Wild such a haven. The kombucha is also standout: not to sweet, not too vinegary, and perfectly carbonated. They also have awesome seasonal flavors - definitely get the spiced apple kombucha (a fall special) if they have it! And for newer kombucha drinkers, you can purchase a flight and try out all of their flavors. They also offer alcoholic kombucha cocktails and hard kombucha, but I haven't had the chance to try them out yet. There are also always fun activities happening in the space - I saw programming for comedy, music, fermentation classes, book clubs, and more. Overall: I can't recommend this spot enough. If you're looking for some chill, cozy vibes and some pro-biotic goodness, definitely stop in!

My husband and I stumbled upon this kombuchary staying at an Airbnb down the street. This place was my absolute favorite find during our weekend in Portland, ME. I'd never heard of a kombuchary before, and I'm not much of a drinker, which was great that they had varying levels of alcohol content. They also sold their kombucha in cans, which we snugged a few different flavors to try on our picnics around Portland. I went with a watermelon lime slushee. So, I don't like watermelon drinks...I love the fruit, but I just can't stand artificial watermelon, which is what I was afraid of. However, I've never had a kombucha slushee and this drink had the least amount of alcohol. I was blown away by how good this slushee was. The watermelon lime flavor was refreshing, tart, sweet, clean, and crisp. Not at all artificial. I was immediately obsessed. We came back the next day, but they were closed for a private event. I'm back home now, far away in MN. I still think about this place and how sad it is that I only enjoyed this slushee once.

I was intrigued by all their flavor options and stopped by for happy hour (half off 12 oz pours from 4-6 pm on weekdays). The strawberry rhubarb was a light and refreshing choice and the purple waves with pine, lavender, lemon and butterfly pea flower had a complex flavor. The cranberry option was very light in flavor and I wish it was a tad tarter. There is plenty of natural light and it's an excellent place to meetup with folks or get some light work done. The staff were really friendly.

I would go here 100x over. I am a kombucha lover and the vibe of this place was also immaculate. They great your with a smile here; the woman at the bar gave me some great suggestions and let me sample some. If you are under 21, know that they card here due to the higher level of alcohol content in their brews. My only critique is to make the kombucha friendly to those who do not drink and those who are under 21z

Kombucha isn't for everyone. I enjoy it every once in a (long) while. This stuff is definitely a lot smoother than the Synergy stuff from the supermarket. They have a lot of flavors to choose from on any given day and I imagine it rotates fairly regularly. The inside has some seating, it is in the style of the stripped down brewery with exposed ductwork and industrial fans and concrete floors, etc. Some smaller tables, larger "community" tables, two really sweet couches. There's outdoor seating too which won't last much longer when the weather turns, but they have picnic benches and some seating next to fake fire. They also have beer here, so if you've got someone that's not into hippie shit, they'll at least be half satisfied.

Highly recommend if you are a kombucha drinker or want an alternative drinking option! They have a lovely seating area that is open air during nice weather. They have a large garage door that opens to connect the patio with the seating inside. It was pleasantly decorated and was all around fun to be in their space. The kombucha options were phenomenal! With so many to choose from - they even had a few hard kombuchas. The bartender working the day we stopped in was friendly and helpful. Definitely stop in while you're in the neighborhood!

There is a reason why this place has no bad reviews. They have the best kombucha by far. The atmosphere is also awesome. At Root Wild they alway have incredible seasonal flavors of Kombucha, hard kombucha and so much more to try. I can never decide on one flavor so I get a flight! Even my boyfriend loves it here.

Love, love, LOVE this place. Did I mention how much I love it? I've been on a Kombucha kick this year, so when I found out we had a local Kombucha spot in town, I had to visit it. I definitely wasn't ready for how much I'd love it. First of all -- let's talk about the actual Kombucha. In three words: delicious, daring, crisp. The kombucha at Root Wild is top notch. They have the best combination of flavors - like one of my faves; pineapple + jalapeño - and so many options to choose from. I also love that they have hard kombucha with ABV as high as a beer, and many times even higher! Perfect for those days where I actually want to feel a bit of a buzz. The ambiance of Root Wild is also one of my favorite things about them. They have SO much space. They have outdoor tables, bar seating, couches, and everything else in between. Their place is ideal to meet up with friends, be solo, or even for getting some work done on a laptop, as I've seen many people often do. At last, their growlers to go. Please never get rid of this option! For $3 you can buy a reusable growler that you can refill for $8 for any kombucha flavor. I now find myself at Root Wild pretty much every week. If you like Kombucha - or even if you've never tried it and are somewhat curious - definitely visit this place.

Had no idea all three were located here, pleasant surprise. I enjoy Allagash white so we decided to stop in. The campus is a good size with gigantic tanks no doubt filled with liquid gold! Outdoor seating area with fire pits for warmer weather enjoyment. Entrance had a woodsy feel to it with signage that was clear to read. In the courtyard you choose which way to go; right heads into the outside beer garden and left brings you inside the brewery and gift shop. Beer garden for us. Seeing that it was covered by a tent thought for sure it was going to be cold inside , we were pleasantly surprised! Decor was paper chains and tissue paper hearts for Valentine's season. They had a creative station for folks to make their own Valentines. Also in the same area was a game bookshelf filled with board and card games to play. At the bar was a young man smiling as he welcomed us. We read the menu and for something different I chose "Cabin Weekend" the name reminded me of our camp in the Western mountains. We both enjoy whiskey so thought the aged barrels used for this brew would make a tasty treat. Grabbed our beers and then over to the food truck attached to the tent, clever. Bite into Maine is the food truck here today, unsure if different trucks come here or not. We wanted something small and shareable. Mac and cheese it was. We sat down at one of the many empty tables and began to enjoy our beers and food. Cabin weekend was so delicious! It was a strong onto 8.9%! Tasty with the faintest hint of whiskey and a cabin feel for the finish. The Mac and cheese was dense and rich!! The fork could practically stand upon its own! It was good in my opinion however don't think I could have finished the portion in my own. We enjoyed so much we will be back for some to bring away with us to our cabin in the woods.

As an IPA fan I enjoyed this new version very much for its hop saturated citrusy forward taste that drank quite smooth for the 9.5%. At this point now Bissell is broken into two separate parts. The first will be the space welcoming to families and is more of their restaurant style area. Appeared to be a popular area and does offer reservations. My preferred area is the Bissell Garden as they call it. Those entering need to be of drinking age and have more lounge vibes where you order at the bar. It still offers full kitchen menu so is perfect. Particularly my favorite is snagging bar stools to grab some beers and food. I had to try out the Super Swish while my wife grabbed their red ale named Turnpike. Then food wise we split their kitchen special Classic Poutine. Some of the best classic kept simple poutine I have had. The perfect comfort food for yet another cold weather day in Maine. Have been impressed by all the food from Bissell. Truly the only negative still stands being the fact it's on Thompson's Point and required paid parking (not Bissell Brothers call but still).
