Laura Martinez, Head of Accounting, sent me the Credit Card Authorisation Form, where they are asking for my credit card details, like number, expiration date, and security code on the back of the card! When I noticed and asked why they were asking for sensitive data, Laura and Igor (the attorney I talked to before) told me it is customary in the US to ask for full credit card details! UPDATE: Looks like my case has been approved. I was assigned to another lawyer, again, assuming Mr. Root was my lawyer. I'm at abt $4000 for my immigration case, all paid. Next step is filing for the GC, apparently that wasn't included in the $4000. Hefty rates/fees. To file for GC, for government alone it's $1225. I'm glad my case was approved, but I had to put in a lot of work myself. Law firm didn't catch one mistake either, glad USCIS accepted our apologies-after all, their reputation is much worse than they are. Will have phone call w/Mr Root soon abt additional "lawyer fees" for filing GC-after paying $4000, I'm anxious to know. I'm going to update here again. Starting my review today and will add as I go along. Currently a client of the law group. Had to change my immigration case from one case to another, in the first case there wasn't work done but shipping costs were charged twice-$150 and $100 for new case and another charge on top of that- confusing. As we all know, legal fees add up fast and the lawyer should be aware and sensitive of that-$4000 isn't a piece of cake and should include the whole case or most of it. As I'm at the beginning of my journey, I will add a my personal experience step by step. So far, I have spent most of the legal advice with a paralegal of the law firm. James E. When I realized this place is very unprofessional, it was already too late to change my lawyer and I had to continue with Root Law. 1 Even if you make an appointment, you will end up waiting for an hour or so. 2They never reply to your emails or return your phone calls, it takes forever to actually speak to someone who knows what is going on. 3Few days before interview Mr Root told me he is unavailable and he cannot come to court with me and sending another person who does not even work for him.
