I waited to leave this review until my furniture was delivered. I had read all the previous reviews and honestly was worried that my ordered furniture would come in wrong so I wanted to see how it all ended up before posting. I ordered Romania furniture in august when I was 12 weeks pregnant. I had checked out cardis, Jordan, and other places like target and found their cribs to be very flimsy and judging by the floor models they scratched easily and noticeably. This is what sent me to rooms to grow, I wanted good solid wood furniture. I wish there had been more in the show room but I understand that showrooms are products that the business have to purchase that just sits there. I feel like they had an adequate number of Romania furniture options that I generally knew what I was ordering even though I didn't ever see the exact crib I wanted in person. They also had samples of every single color stain and I appreciated that. I interacted with both the female and male owner. Both were very pleasant, the only issue I had was that the numbers for the crib were written down incorrectly on the order form, I personally double check so I caught the errors but had you not been diligent like me, that may have ended up resulting in the wrong product being ordered. Price, I think was fair for good quality furniture. Their price reflected the other retailers online. You pay when you order. And then you wait. We were told 16 weeks for delivery and I honestly was shocked it's so long, but they did explain to me that they are made to order in Europe and then they wait to have a full shipping contained to ship over, then it is driven to the store and driven to your house. I was ok waiting because the current nursery in my house was an office and I still needed to use it. I checked in on delivery a few times which is where I encountered some miscommunication. I was told by the male my order would actually be coming in early in November, November came with no update so we called and it seems that the gentleman didn't have all the information and that one of my pieces was back ordered and they actually wouldn't ship anything until the whole order was together. This caused me anxiety that it would be late, because it was hard for rooms to grow to contact the actual company to get the shipping manifest so I wasn't sure if my products were in the container. Overall it took 18 weeks, but I do believe the extra weeks to be due to COVID and no fault of rooms to grow at all. Everything was the correct furniture and in the correct color. Previous reviews really had me worried it would show up and be white, or just be the wrong crib all together but delivery went fine. All the correct items and the delivery men put it together fast and even put scratch guards on the bottoms of everything. Overall I think everyone working at the store had fine customer service and was friendly and welcoming. They were happy to have you as a customer. Would I do it again? No, the wAit and anxiety that I wouldn't have my furniture in time was too much for me to handle pregnant. From 12 weeks to 31 weeks of pregnancy I was nervous that the correct things wouldn't come, and honestly maybe if people hadn't left reviews like that, I wouldn't have had that anxiety but it seems it happened more than once. BUT if you are able to handle the 16 week wait, then I do recommend coming here. The furniture is solid, I'm happy with it, I'm happy with the price and happy with delivery. read more

I called up to ask if they had the Dutailier rocker/recliner in their show room that was shown on their website. They said that they had 3-4 different rocker-glider/recliners in store. Since there was only one online and it wasn't named, I figured that they must have it so I took the long route to get home from visiting family in CT to get back home. Problem #1: The address on their website was incorrect, showing an old location. Fortunately their old location currently advertises the new storefront address. Ok, I've come so far. Might as well back-track a bit. It's still a lot closer than any other Dutailier retailer with the chairs I wanted to see. Problem #2: What a pain to get to their lot. I had people literally yelling at me to go into a round about. In Boston, your car gets run into if you do that. No thanks. As a bonus, Google and the road signs didn't match up. Thank goodness they have a big sign outside the shopping plaza that you can see from the round about. Upside #1: The store is clean and fresh inside. There are multiple bathrooms (thank goodness). The pup inside is super chill and loves pets. Downside #3: The specific chair I saw online (but didn't name, my bad) wasn't in stock. It had been sold about a month prior. About the same amount of time it's supposed to take them to get this particular chair into stock. Are there other rockers? Yes. Are there other gliders? Yes. Are there other recliners? No. They have ottomans that will glide with the chair. No other furniture store would call that a recliner (seems to be a baby thing so it's not necessarily this store...I had been to Raymour and Flanigans the day before to begin scouting options but none of the recliners reclined via ottoman. Note: at R+F, only one chair fit me and it was uncomfortable to open the recliner in and it was just me. That's a problem. Service was fantastic at R+F, though.) Not much else to note. It was definitely my fault for not going back to the Dutailier website to specifically reference the names of the 2 glider/recliners I'm interested in but I felt secure in the fact that I was assured there were multiple recliners in store. Stop by if you're super local (a 20 min drive or so). A girlfriend suggested Magic Beans so that'll probably be the next stop - they're just across the river (they don't have the recliners I'm looking at online but it's close by). read more

We happened to drive thru Warwick on our way to a private event and decided to walk in and look at some baby furniture. They have lots of different styles and finishes and so many type of cribs so it can be overwhelming for new parents. We really loved the fact that there was a real person available to help with our questions and Paula was nice. We ended up ordering a dresser and crib made from real wood and they will actually make delivery arrangements for us, how cool! I wish they had some strollers and nicer artwork to get done with our nursery shopping but all in all it was worth the time, five stars. I have to say....I did not expect it. In the world of baby- it seems like everything is over priced and business is reliant on scaring all first itme mothers into purchasing items that realistically are not necessary. I figured this store would fall right into that catgory...but it did not. Service was attentive, thoughtful and extremely helpful. The best part was that the selection of furniture was of great quality and the prices were very reasonable. We found a great nursery set that met all of our needs. We had shopped around and it is evident that the prices here based upon the quality, beat out Babies R us and Target without a doubt. ORDER EARLY ORDER EARLY ORDER EARLY When we were two months away from the birth of our first child, we decided to (finally) buy the baby furniture. I immediately thought of Babies"R"Us and Cardi's, as BRU has a good-sized furniture section and Cardi's has a deal where you buy the crib and then when you need to buy your little one a regular bed they will credit you the entire price of the crib. We started at BRU and immediately realized that their furniture is throwaway pieces of junk. Seriously, go there and shake a crib or bureau and you'll quickly realize that they're not meant to last long. Cardi's only had 2-3 cribs to choose from and what they had was not very stylish, so they're definitely not the place to go either. We went to Rooms to Grow and found: 1. Their baby furniture is *furniture*, not throwaway garbage. 2. Their baby furniture will cost you $$$, so if you want to go cheap you should shop elsewhere. We purchased an entire set of furniture right after Christmas and waited...and waited...and waited until everything was delivered almost a full four months later. Our receipt said "3 to 3 1/2 months" for delivery so we were about two weeks beyond the est. time, but they were good at keeping us informed whenever I called. My wife said that the men who delivered the furniture were polite, they installed the round furniture pads on the bottom of all the pieces that we had bought at Home Depot, and they gave my wife tips on how to protect the furniture. We absolutely love the style of our new furniture as every piece is SOLID and it's made to order which is the reason it takes longer than buying "assemble yourself" furniture. We also bought the toddler and adult rails as this is furniture that will last through our baby's teenage years. So, in conclusion, although the delivery delays caused us concern, we couldn't be happier with the furniture. read more

I have to admit I am extremely shocked to read these reviews! My husband and I had an incredible experience with Paula and her staff at Rooms to Grow! I myself being a business owner and knowing how important it is to have a strong social media presence prompted me to write this review! From the day we walked in they treated us amazing, my 3 year old ran around trying out all the beds and we decided on what we wanted... 12 weeks later just like we (and every other customer ) were told the turnaround time would be the set came in! Her delivery men came set it all up and were pleasant and very nice, that night the top tent piece of the bed did not work for our daughter... it was overwhelming for her even after taking off the curtain. I called paula the next day and she went above and beyond to make this right for us, reordering a different item and "making it right" even thought its not what we originally ordered. I am huge on customer service and appreciate positive feedback for a job well done. If you have a concern always bring it to the attention of the business, try and see what can be done to make it right before slamming them with negative reviews. WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A RETAILER IN MY 29 YEARS! Think that sounds dramatic? Well, unfortunately, it's true. Without getting into painful detail, let's just say I ordered $3k worth of baby furniture on Dec 10th and I'm still waiting on 2 of the 4 pieces. No one called to tell me they were on back order until I called in the 13th week when I hadn't heard anything. They blamed it on the manufacturer and proceeded to give me the run around. I receive two of my four pieces in my first delivery which was approx 15 weeks after I placed the order. I only found out the other two were on back order and not included in that shipment by once again calling. I'm still waiting. Next Friday, at 19 weeks after my order was placed, I'm due for the rest of my furniture. I went over their heads and called the manufacturer and found out Baby's Dream only delivers once per month. Great. When my furniture arrives and I'm finally able to get my nursery organized, I will be in my 9th month of pregnancy. I ordered this early for a reason. Never an apology or a credit of any kind. We ordered a twin over full bunk bed. They do not have a large warehouse, so orders are direct from manufacturing which will take longer. Order took 8 weeks to come in. We chose to pick up and build\assemble ourselves. This was not at all a challenge, and from experience dealing with babies r us, IKEA, and cardis furniture I can honestly say that the construction and wood grades are of quality. We would recommend them to anyone looking for quality furniture that will grow with their child. read more

TERRIBLE customer service! I bought my daughters very pricy crib, dresser etc. there a few years ago and just called to get info. about the drop side crib recalls and the man was very rude. He told me the company went out of business and there was no way a recall would be made by them and they would not help me out in any way. I reminded him that the we bought this companys crib b/c they were reputable and were assured they had been around so long they'd never go out of business. Initially I thought this store was great! They had a great selection, something in almost every price range and great sales people. I was thrilled to purchase my crib, dresser and replacement cushions for a dutailier rocker from this store. Then it came time to pick up my purchases! It has been a nightmare ever since. First of all, I waited 10 weeks to get the cushions (which I knew and planned for) and when they came in they were completely wrong. The store ordered the wrong fabric. Now I have to wait another 10 weeks, which means I will need to drive back to RI with a 3 or 4 week old baby to pick up the correct cushions. The store won't ship or deliver them to me. Then I get my furniture home. We open the box and the dresser is damaged. We immediately called the store and we were told the service department would call us back. We waited 4 days with no return phone call and called again. Then waited 2 more days with still no return phone call. When we finally got through to them we were told we could drive back with the dresser and pick up another one. They would not deliver one to us for a reasonable price. I am now 36 weeks pregnant. I cannot fully set up my nursery and I have to now make a total of 3 trips to this store to pick up the furniture and cushions that should have been picked up in one trip. Not to mention that I will not have cushions for my glider until weeks after my baby is born. This is added stress I do not need 4 weeks before my due date. very disappointed in the amount of time I have been waiting for my sons bedroom set to arrive. Also very disappointed in the level of customer service I have received. At the store the sales associates were very nice of course I guess that's what they did to get me to spend $3,500.00 on a set for my son. I was told my set would arrive in 8-10 weeks. 10 weeks came and I called the store and was told it would be in in 2 weeks...okay fine. 2 weeks came so I called again and again they told me it would be 2 weeks. The woman on the phone said she told me when I ordered it it would be in in 10-12 weeks which I told her was wrong but at any rate even if she did tell me 10-12 which she didn't we were still going on 14 weeks. My husband and I couldn't rave enough about Rooms to Grow...the choices of furniture were endless. The store is set up in room settings for both the nursery and the youth beds so you can easily make a desicions on not only the furniture, but how you can decorate the room. I recall how unwilling they were to order something in a color I wanted; they wanted to move their inventory. I particularly recall that the store policy was not to give a refund, only a credit. They are so rude here. I ordered my two kids bedrooms here and one piece came in wrong twice. The third time it came in I wasn't even called. I had to call to see if it was there. Now it's been about a year since I first ordered it. They would not deliver it when I was home so they waited two months until I was on MY vacation to deliver it. I told them I wanted a refund for the delivery fee I was told that I will get nothing. I am so upset that the piece came in twice wrong and then they refuse to accommodate me. They owner was SO RUDE!! I would never step foot in that place again!! Plus they are WAY over priced! They are nice to get you in the door and to buy but after that they are rude. Worst experience in all of my buying years!!!! I purchased a Capretti convertible crib for my daughter. Now, this is a $1000+ crib. I purchased it when she was 5 months old. The foo tboard to the crib split in half after having it for a year. Mind you, it took almost a year to receive the crib!! That's not even what my qualms are about right now. I had someone from the store to come out and look at the split. He confirmed and told me that a new board would be ordered. 3 months later I had yet to hear anything about the piece. I called Rooms to Grow and spoke to a gentlemen who told me he was the one who I spoke to months ago but didn't remember ever coming to my house to look at the crib!! I asked to speak to a manager and he told me he was the manager. I finally was able to refresh his memory, and he nonchalantly tells me he forgot all about it and would need to come back out to look at the crib!!! I was furious. I ended up asking him if I could call Capretti directly and he proceeded to tell me that he worked for Capretti as well. I called Capretti- they told me flat out that he was a liar!! I gave them the serial number to the crib and they confirmed the lifetime warranty. They called Rooms to Grow to tell them I needed the board replaced. I was then contacted by Paula, who is the owner/manager. She tells me the gentlemen I had been dealing with was not the manager!! Fast forward about 6 months--I STILL HAVE NO REPLACEMENT BOARD!!! My daughter will be 5 in 2 weeks!!! I call today and am told nothing is on file about any of this!!! I am calling Susan Hogan from the news, and contacting a lawyer!! don't buy from here..... they tell you one thing and come to find out after waiting for weeks the cribs & dresser we ordered was not comeing in. we had to call to find this out. then they want you to buy something that you haven't seen. tell you it will be in when they have enough orders to fill the truck and that could be 4 to 6 more weeks. three mounth later, babys yes I said babys. triplets are here and noooo cribs or dresser. if it wasn't so late and had more time would have gone to baby furn factory in braintree. never did anything extra to help use out.
