The location has a lot of different rooms to try of varying difficulty. From being in the hallway it sounded like the place was busy and people were having a good time! The staff was very friendly and made sure we understood the puzzle and how the game worked and we got on our way. We chose the Missle Crisis game and found the back story and room to be well designed and interesting. This was only the 2nd escape room we've tried and, unfortunately, the room was too hard for my beginner group. We all agreed we should choose an easier room next time. The business, like nearly every business, has some room for improvement. Locked Up needs to prepare, maintain, and repair this room much better. Several things in the room were broken, some of which they told us about before we started but they still had to enter the room during the game 3 times because something had gone wrong, such as when a door opened too soon or when we properly completed a puzzle and the puzzle didn't register as finished. The other escape room business we tried previously didn't have any issue with that type of thing so that was a let down. The broken puzzles cost us not only lost time to complete the room, but also took away from the fun and immersion of the experience. That being said, the staff were very polite, professional, and apologetic about the issues and it certainly didn't ruin the whole experience or anything like that. We all left with a smile on our faces and we all enjoyed the experience. I think we will try a different escape room business next time but we will likely come back to this one in the future to see if the maintenance of the facility has improved. We have been to a lot of escape rooms and this one was challenging! It is rated as 7/10, and there were three of us who tried to complete it. The room was smaller than we were used to, and it's packed with different puzzles. We loved the quality of the experience, as it requires critical and abstract thinking. The game master was friendly and responsive to our clue requests during our game. Because I checked into Yelp we got an extra clue, and we needed all four to help move us along.

The place was very clean and comfortable. The waiting room is welcoming while you prepare for family battles! The game show experience is made for people of all ages. We had people from ages 8 to 80. There are 8 stations that can easily accomplish two to three contestants. The room is fun and inviting. The floor and huge screen make you feel like you are on a really game show! Leah was our game host. Leah was outstanding. She was very thorough as she taught us how to play the game. She did an excellent job at guiding us along, cheering us and helping us get excited about the competition. We really appreciated how Leah helped draw in all contestants of all ages into the action. Well done Leah!! The actual game was a blast. We played small snippets of various games. You might not be good at Jeopardy...but you didn't stay there long and then you were on to a new game like Wheel of Fortune. I think we played about 8 different games in the 90 minutes of fun. And when you make your reservation it will say this in the email at least twice. 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the lack of facilities.

Jenna, from the venue was on-site. I told Jenna that one of the two sinks in the men's restroom wasn't working. She came into the bathroom with me and wiped down the sensor, but it still didn't work. She said she would have someone look at it. Saturday, before the wedding, we went to the Old Barn for pictures. We left around 4 PM and my daughter told Jenna that the caterers were scheduled to be there at 5:00 and the wedding was at 5:30. We would be there after the wedding. A few minutes after 5, I got a call from the caterers. The venue was refusing to let them in because my daughter didn't have a member of the wedding party on-site. I started making phone calls and I spoke to the caterers and to Jenna and she informed me that not only did they require someone to be onsite, that person could not leave the premises. My brother ended up missing his niece's wedding ceremony because of this. While my brother was there, he informed Jenna that the one of the two sinks was not working. He was not aware that I had reported it the day before. Jenna told him "add it to your review" and walked away from him. My brother also asked Jenna why they required someone to be onsite when we used approved caterers and why it was never mentioned prior to 30 minutes before the wedding? Jenna told him it is in every contract. I submitted the contract to AI and it said there is nothing in the contract that states we must have someone there. On the contrary, it states my daughter was responsible for scheduling the caterers, which she did. She told Jenna at 4:00 PM the caterers were scheduled for 5:00 PM. Jenna never mentioned we had to be there. The caterers and bartenders apologized to us, several times and said they had never experienced that situation in the 18 plus years they have been working Salomon Farms. My brother asked for Jenna's supervisor, and he was eventually allowed to speak to Amanda. According to my brother, Amanda was rude and did not make any reference to being sorry for the situation or cared that my brother was missing the ceremony. This place wasn't cheap but my daughter loved the location. We spent a lot of money to be treated like crap by Jenna and Amanda and my brother missed the ceremony due to poor communication and lies. Very disappointing. In the greater scope of things, it was a wonderful service and we had a wonderful time, it is just beyond our level of understanding how this happened and how the site did not express an iota of compassion for the situation. They claim it was in the contract by I searched the contract and AI read the document and neither of us could find it. So thank you Jenna, Amanda and the Fort Wayne Park District for a stain on what was otherwise a wonderful day.
