04/10/2023 Complaint Type: Problems with Product/Service Status: Answered ***** ***** waited for my check #*** to clear and will not return to finish a bad job. Said he would and gave me excuses as he had to repair his home as he was being fined each day for violations. I have this info in texts.. Job cost $40,000 for main home and Pool house roof and repair lattice on roof. *********** Landmark Pro - 90 pound shingles - 50 year warranty Owner Agreed to being so careful and *** best out there. I also doubt it will meet standards for *********** Warranty program 1. Owner was to be here for *** entire job. Reason he delayed *** job as he was on vacation. 2. Sent Hispanic speaking crew with no one here to speak English 3. Major - HUMP on back of left side of home. What they covered over is a mystery but visible to *** naked eye. 4. Damaged several bushes around *** home especially *** front of *** property. 5. Crew carelessly throwing shingles wildly all over *** place without protecting landscape lighting and bushes and newly painted home. ***** Most copper gutters are away from *** home (an eyesore) and a few are severely dented and should be replaced. 6. According to *** contract owner was to provide 14" copper valley metal on all valleys. Did not! Used old copper instead of replacing with new I paid for. 7. ****Crew was putting down *** water shield leak barrier over existing tar paper on entire right side of *** home - my thought... (reason paid crew $7500 for entire job and they were cutting corners every chance they could get as no one was watching. Warranty on this roof if needed would be voided by this procedure. I Had them scrape *** right side of *** home. *** EXISTING tar paper had to be removed along with *** water ice barrier shield. Other areas of *** roof was not done correctly as I would tell them *** water ice shield should go to *** corner but he tore it and put *** shingles on top. I question what other corners were missed? *** HUMP ON *** BACK OF *** HOME IS DISCONCERTING? 8. Contractor delivering *** shingles made oil spill in concrete/brick area and left major tire tracks. 9. LED Landscape lighting is still being repaired (5 lights were cut and repaired to date but still not working. 10. Pool House has stood *** test of 17 years and and was sloppily put back and does not look neat as it once did. I would prefer to hire a contractor to make certain *** job can be completed as best as possible. My humble opinion " He is *** worst ever"! Photos are on my CAMERA and will send in separate link? I can't speak for their roofing ability, we never got that far. But if you're looking for reliability, keep looking. Derek is the king of empty promises. I called the Thursday before Labor Day to schedule an appointment for Derek to examine my roof and give me an estimate. He suggested Saturday morning, I agreed. Saturday morning he texted saying he and the family were heading out off town. He suggested 9 am Tuesday. I agreed. Tuesday morning comes, no show. At 3:30 he texts that "just got back into town" (even though he was supposed to be at my house hours ago). Rescheduled for 6 pm. Shortly after 6 he texted that he was on his his way. An hour later he asks if he can reschedule for 8 am Wednesday, because his kids are fussy and ready to get out of the truck. (Was he really bringing his kids to meet a client? I would hope not). I tell him I have a 9 appointment Wednesday morning I can't miss. He promises to be there at 7:50. To nobody's surprise, he didn't show up, and I never heard from him ever again. A word of warning. We used Roofing Experts to fix a leaky roof. They charged a good deal of money and recommended a sealant that looked good in my research. One thing that sold us on the company was they implied there was a 50 year warranty. I asked if they had checked all the flashing & was told they did. As they were leaving I asked what I should do if the roof leaked. "Just call us we'll be right out". That was last September. Well I noticed a leak in the same area & called before Thanksgiving. Knowing there was no rain predicted, I told them not to worry about coming out until after the holiday weekend. Little did I know that after multiple phone calls & 2 days waiting for them to show up for 2 scheduled appointments that I would have to hire another company to come and fix a leak I had already paid Expert Roofing to do. I highly recommend avoiding this company. They do not stand behind their word. read more

I went with Roofing Experts because they were competitive on pricing and communication with Jessica through Facebook Messenger was thorough. I made a terrible mistake. They only did half the work we agreed upon and the work was terrible. After the owner went to the house to see that the roofers had not completed the work that we agreed upon, he began to argue with me about why they didn't do the work or why doing it wasnt necessary, even though we agreed to do it. Then he threatened to put a lien on the house or tear the shingles off. I had to call the police and told him to get off the property. We ultimately agreed on a lower price for the actual work done, even though the work was terrible. Extremely happy with new roof! Great price and even better service. The owner was on sight the majority of the time and made sure everything ran smoothly. They kept the grounds clean and covered all my flowers and bushes so they didn't get damaged. I highly recommend Roofing Experts! read more

We are thoroughly impressed with Derek and his team. It was like watching a well oiled machine. Derek was very personable, professional and answered every of the twenty questions I had to my understanding. They started work exactly when he said they would and finished when he projected. I telephoned and made an appt. for Monday, 11.28.16 @ 11:30am with Roofing Experts to come to my home and provide me an estimate to replace my roof after Hurricane Matthew. The company was a "NO SHOW" for the appt. and NO one even bothered to telephone me back with an explanation. If you were too busy, fine, but you should have telephoned and rescheduled the appointment. What a waste of my time and money planning for this. Wow! Thanks a lot; awful service! Hired this company to stop water pooling on flat roof. The roof was in perfect condition (5 years old), but we didn't want the water pooling. I chose Roofing Experts because they were a little cheaper than another estimate. Big mistake. They first tried to apply a GACO membrane when it was below freezing, which the manufacturer specifically directs against. After the installation, they asked me to give a review, but I said I needed to see how it handled rain water. Once it rained, the water pooled exactly as it did before. I notified the owner immediately and he came by to assess the roof. He told me he saw the pooling water, but after numerous calls and texts, absolutely no response. Hope this helps someone else to not make the same mistake we did. read more
