Jessie and Jessie Jr. Did what other companies couldn't do. They got me the door style and type I…read morewanted at a price that didn't take my breath away. A color matched, insulated, swing up door (no electric motor for me thank you). They found the style I wanted when others tried to push whatever was easiest for them. The Jessies were fine that I didn't want an opener. Other "sales people " with other firms seemed very put out and fiscally disappointed that I didn't want the electric opener. Jessie and his son gave me a price, stuck to the price and communicated with me through the ordering, delivery and installation. I am happy every time I walk up the drive. A company that takes care of what the customer wants and does it at a fair price with good workmanship. A rare find.

One of the hinges of the garage door broke yesterday so I called Garage Door Doctor to see if they…read morecould come fix it. The gentleman on the phone was very nice and gave me the quote. I asked him if it would take a long time to fix and he said that it wouldn't take more than 5 minutes. I asked him if this would be something I could do myself and without hesitation he said yes and even told me what part I should get. That was the third time I called them in the past 15 years and they have always provided us with great and honest customer service. They did not come out this time and instead helped me fix this in 5 minutes. They could have charged me to fix the door but instead saved me a lot of money. I wish more businesses were like Garage Door Doctor. I am not surprised they have over 700 reviews. They probably don't need another 5 stars review but I really wanted to share the great experience I had with them.

They adjusted and cleaned them, and the door was working again within minutes. What really stood out came next. They had made a special trip out to my house on a weekend and could easily have charged me for the visit. Instead they told me there was no charge. I didn't expect that kind of honesty, and it made my day. My system is old and will need to be replaced at some point. When it does, they're the first call I'll make. Fantastic business and service.

A terrible experience with Next Door Garage Door Repair. I am 84 years old, protected by certain…read moreconsumer rights and laws, including those related to elder financial abuse. I've been scammed. I called Next Door's Garage Repair's Eric for a new remote for my Genie Pro opener, having used his services in late 2024 for a garage door spring installation. He quoted $50 for a new remote. When he arrived, I presented him with the Genie remote that no longer worked. Although there was no battery in the remote, he said that he couldn't program it as the 6 device program limit for the Genie Pro was reached, and no further programming could be done. And that I therefore needed a new garage door opener. I later learned that this was a lie. He showed me on his iPad two LiftMaster openers, representing that the prices shown were retail, but if I purchased one that day, a 10% discount would apply. I elected the one for $1,950, and after the discount and added $180 installation fee and taxes, the total was $2,100, which I paid. I later learned that Eric lied to me about the maxing out of the Genie Pro program number limit, as both Genie and other reputable garage door opener installers advised that a further program would simply erase the earliest one, and that an additional programmable remote could easily be done. I also later learned that the retail price of the LiftMaster runs between $280 and $400, not $1,950, and the retail total including installation and the arm/bar/rod runs roughly $600 to $700, or less than 1/3 of what he charged me. Instead of $50. I've never knowingly been scammed or become the victim of a fraud. I am also reporting this to the State Contractors License Board and those entities responsible for enforcing and regulating elderly abuse laws.

I called a couple of places, and one company told me, without seeing the door, that it was likely a circuit board issue (based on the error code) and they wouldn't be able to fix it until after the Labor Day holiday. I called 5H, and after talking through the issue, he was at my house within an hour. Turns out it wasn't the circuit board at all, it was a broken spring. He got to work right away, and everything was repaired and working perfectly within an hour. The price was right, he gave me some great maintenance tips, and he genuinely went above and beyond. Great service from start to finish. 5H has my business from here on out. Highly recommend!
