Skimpy portions, ok food and dirty cushion seating inside. I will not be returning as I feel it was a waste of my money and time.

Good bagels and a nice range of other bits and pieces. Some of the staff can be a bit short, but on the whole they're friendly enough. They've got tables now to make it a little more cafe style but there are some things (mostly beef related) that they don't allow to be eaten in store. Most of their pastries look good and the ones that I've tried are tasty if a little stodgy. Not being close to a tube station, I don't visit that often but if given the chance, they're one of the better bakeries out there.

Excellent bagels! Better than Park Patisserie, not as good as Beigel Bake in Brick Lane which has…read morethe best in London, and which are actually a lot cheaper too. Nice thing about this place is that they have a large variety of pastries and bread, as well as several big coolers with prepared sandwiches, egg salad, cream cheese, etc., and they don't run out of bread in the late afternoon like some bakeries. Wish I could pay with a car for transactions under 10 pounds though. I don't get why that's such a problem everywhere. I mean, ffs, just charge me the extra 20p for the transactions costs or whatever, don't make me waste 15 minutes of my time walking to a nearby ATM.

Oh my giddy arm, I cannot believe that a place in London exists where they would let me order food, eat it and then let me leave without paying (due to not having enough cash on me), trusting me to come back later after I had run my errands and gotten to a cash point!!!! Even when I offered up the change that I did have, they said I could just hang on to it and then pay the bill in full later if I wanted to! Set right on the corner of West End Lane and Mill Lane, David's is a family run business in the perfect location, with lots of seating, both inside and outdoors, with an awning to cover it, and plants surrounding the front area, separating you from the street a little. This would be the perfect place to come for breakfast/brunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The menu is extensive, with lots of meze options, as well as sandwiches, bagels, salads, pies cakes and cupcakes (the woman next to me ordered a small meze selection with pitta - I can't imagine how big the large option would have been!). I opted for a salt beef bagel (which came with a pickle and coleslaw), which if I am completely honest, didn't really do it for me, BUT I should have known this from the start, as this place just didn't look Jewish enough to satisfy my salt beef bagel standards... My cappuccino was good - nice and frothy. I was also pleased that they have the option of skinny or regular. It's nice that they have a big pile of newspapers and magazines to browse too - handy if you are on your own and don't have any reading material with you. In all honesty, I probably would award this place 3 stars for my bagel (and the fact that at £4.50 I think it was too expensive), but for overall service, atmosphere and enjoyability of experience it gets full marks. David's is Deli(ghtful) and I will be back!

Camden Coffee House - Looked beautiful when I got it but I couldn't wait to try it so the picture doesn't do it justice!

Given the high rating of this place, I've been trying for awhile to grab a coffee here, but they…read moreshut quite early (last orders around 16:45), so yesterday was the first time I actually managed to step in by 16:30 and order some takeaway coffee. The people at the counter were really sweet and polite and it looked like they had a lovely garden area downstairs. When we arrived, they warned us that they would be shutting in 20 minutes, in case we wanted to linger over our coffees. After 4 hours wandering around the warrens of Camden markets, We just needed to sit down for 5-10 minutes and get our caffeine fix before carrying on, so this wasn't a problem. The reason I haven't given the place a higher rating is 1. The seats were low and slightly uncomfortable. (We sat upstairs) I understand the tighter fit (think economy seats on budget airlines) as their space is limited in a small shop, but they were really low or maybe it's just my bones growing older. I could ignore this completely as I mostly take my coffee to go and don't bother with sitting down. However, 2. We order 2 iced coffees and my mum got a nice iced latte type coffee, but mine barely had a spot of milk in it. Mums looked and Tasted like it had been well blended, mine looked like a black coffee poured on ice and a spot of milk added to it. I had to go back and request more milk in my coffee as I couldn't drink it the way it was served. Unfortunately, we were so hot and tired that mum finished her coffee before I even got up to add more milk to my coffee, so I didn't have the chance to click a comparative picture. Dad's hot latte was fine. I'm not sure if this was a shop / machine closing time problem, but if I order 2 of the same thing, I do expect them to look and taste similar. We had a lemon white chocolate muffin and that was good too, but for a coffee shop to not make my coffee right? I really wanted to like this place and was sadly disappointed.
