I was lectured at the window in front of other patients by a name tag wearing receptionist that I was late, which was obvious. She told me that I would have to reschedule and I said I don't think so and I'd be happy to find another doctor. The problem with the office admin is that they patronize the patients and treat them like crap and they're gate keepers. If you try to get to the doctor to complain they will block you and send the office manager, who is not the business owner. I'm sure if the doctors heard from the patients about the office admin there would be a staff change. The other thing I can tell you is that the office waiting room is never full, maybe one or two other people yet the office staff can never ever work you in if you're really sick or need something on short notice. They couldn't be bothered. I had the office manager pull the "well we're only contractually obligated to see you within 24 hours by your provider". If that's they way they want to run their office then so be it, but our family is finding another doctor b/c we're not going to pay to be subjected to unprofessional office staff and poor customer service. I will say this, if you can finally make it to the health care providers they seem to be caring, but buyer beware of the office staff. Also, my family has been going to this provider for years and this is the way they treat their loyal customers. We've finally had enough. Oh, and forget having the doctor call you back if you have a question about a lab result or you forgot to ask something in your visit. Instead, we were informed by the office manager that the appointment had never been confirmed on their end and that my father was being discharged from the practice due to an alleged no-show on 6/9 and rescheduled appointments on 6/26 and 6/30. To clarify: - My father never had an appointment on 6/9. Neither he nor I scheduled one, nor were we ever informed of one. - On 5/30, he was hospitalized at AdventHealth East Orlando and was later transferred to PAM Rehab Hospital in Winter Garden, where he remained through 6/13. He was physically unable to attend, or even be aware of any appointment during that time. - It turns out the 6/9 appointment was made by AdventHealth during his hospital stay without our knowledge or consent. - I called the office on 6/26 and 6/30 to reschedule due to my father's recent hemorrhagic stroke, which has left him with significant daily challenges. At no point was I told of a rescheduling or cancellation policy, nor was I warned that his status as a patient was at risk. I was simply given a new appointment for 7/2. To then arrive and be told that his appointment was unconfirmed and that he had been discharged, with no prior notice was shocking and deeply frustrating. The communication breakdown was unacceptable. I strongly advise against seeking care from this office, especially if you or your loved one is living with a disability. Managing a disability is hard enough without the added stress of poor communication, indifference, and a lack of compassion from a healthcare provider and their staff.

Since I moved to Orlando I have had bad luck with physicians following up and making appointments. This is NOT the case with Orlando Health Physicians. They are very accommodating and professional. I get appointments that work with my schedule and Dr. Jianyu Li is so nice to work with. She is very knowledgeable and quick to refer me to another professional if she does not have the answer. The nurse and front desk staff remember you by name and it's so enjoyable to see then when you need to visit the doctor. The building is newer and very accessible. I have no problems with maneuvering my wheelchair in and around the office. There are accessible bathrooms that are large and easy to access. The elevators are huge and make maneuvering easy when entering and exiting. I would highly recommend Dr. Jianyu Li and her staff to anyone looking for a good internal medicine doctor.

If you say ANYTHING ...the doctor notes it so the visit can be coded as something other than an annual exam. We're 3 months into fighting this with NO PROGRESS. This should not be legal.
