I first saw Dr. Braemer when my baby was a newborn while I was shopping around for pediatricians…read more My baby has a unique issue so I was doing what any mother would do, and ensuring we found the right person to handle her care. My first impression was that the lady at the front was very friendly, and Braemer was very rude/dismissive. However, since there are limited options here in Redding I decided on Braemer. As soon as the lady on the phone heard that I had ever seen a different pediatrician she became volatile: "Dr. Braemer will not see your children because you saw another pediatrician." The conversation became heated and she told me "he takes it very personally." It's unfortunate that a medical "professional" would put his ego before an infant in need of care. He is rude and spiteful, and I don't believe that any amount of medical training can come before an ego such as this. Unfortunately since Redding has limited options I'm sure he knows his practice won't suffer for it.

Good Dr. once you get him to stop talking about his story of the day, he would easily be a 4 star…read moredoc pre-pandemic. But, the nurse is showing her nose and the Dr. was wearing a shield without a mask. In a retail setting I would give them a 5 star rating because at least they are putting some effort into it. But Doctors know better. Face shields protect the wearer not the people around them (and the further apart you are the less effective they are at doing even that), and masks need to cover all of your face holes.
