In June 2025, as a 65 year old man I could barely stand for more than a few minutes due to pain. Even worse, there was no relief in sitting or lying down. Every day, a little worse. Dr mikhail fixed me. I can't believe that after 25 years of pain, I can actually type these words. I've gone from walking 250 steps a day to 5000 and a little more every day. He accurately predicted the different phases and pain levels during my recovery and because of that I had trust that it was all going as planned. He explained every risk going in, and where we might experience set backs. I felt well informed. I trusted him and his team and we did the surgery. It's been exactly one year and I'm a new (old) man. I could not be more grateful to this skilled, thoughtful and surprisingly humble gentleman and his wonderful team. You can tell a little about a surgeon by his office staff and the Cedars team is excellent. But you can tell more by how he communicates the ups and downs and makes sure you understand the challenges and risks Finally there is a part that you just feel : Your belief that your surgeon is competent and accomplished and Dr Mikhail certainly conveys that without some of the cocky, jokey bedside manners some surgeons have. Go see him. Listen to him. Get the help you need. Highest recommendation and deepest appreciation for a life rescued from 25 years of pain!

He kindly helped us remotely, walking us through the foreign doctor's recommendations and explaining our options before we made any decisions. Once we were back in the U.S., he referred us to a specialist, but because we really wanted his input, he took the time over several visits to review the X-rays, go over the other doctors' recommendations, and share his own expert opinion. Everyone in the office is friendly and efficient, and Dr. Snibbe himself is not only an expert in his field but also straightforward, reassuring, and compassionate toward both a scared patient and a concerned mom. Highly recommend!

I am writing this review to share the extremely upsetting experience my mother had during her…read morerecent appointment with Dr. Moon. My mom lives with Panic/Anxiety Disorder and PTSD after a serious accident and injury, and she went into this appointment already feeling vulnerable and overwhelmed. Instead of offering calm communication or compassion, Dr. Moon entered the room abruptly and immediately began raising his voice, telling her to "get up," "take the immobilizer off," and "start walking." He did this without asking a single question about her current pain level, mobility, or how she had been progressing at home. His approach felt forceful and absolutely disgusting, showing no awareness of how his tone and demands could affect a patient with trauma and anxiety. His behavior showed a striking lack of bedside manner. There was no gentle introduction, no reassurance, no attempt to understand her condition before giving commands. For a patient who is already anxious, this kind of interaction can be emotionally destabilizing -- and it was. This wasn't an isolated incident. In the weeks following her surgery, he seemed irritated when she called regarding her prescription and never took a moment to ask her how she was even healing. This ongoing lack of communication and empathy makes it clear that trauma-informed care is not being practiced here. He barely spoke to her before the surgery itself, he gave her a thumbs up and said, "we'll get you fixed" and walked away. My mom left the appointment shaking and distressed, feeling unheard and disrespected. No patient -- especially one dealing with injury, PTSD, or anxiety -- should ever be spoken to or treated in this way. I truly hope this review encourages more empathy, better communication, and a stronger understanding of trauma-informed practice going forward.
