I had a good experience with the salesperson Gabby but 3 days after I bought it, the back window wouldn't go up. After many calls about it (and it rained for 2 days) they told me to take it to a local dealership and it would be covered under the extended warranty I purchased. I took it to the service department at a local dealership and they charged me a $200 deductible. This was very upsetting to me so I called Ron Carter Ford in Alvin to see if they could refund the money since I only had the vehicle for 3 days, but the manager had no sympathy. I'm retired and on a fixed income so I didn't have $200 extra to spend. Needless to say, I'm very upset and also frustrated with the management. I wish I never bought a car there. read more

Horrible communication, horrible service and horrible technicians - not mechanics because they don't deserve to be called that. Take your car anywhere else. The gas pedal stopped working momentarily while driving so I brought it in to be looked at. They took 3 days and $150 diagnostic fee to diagnose it, and said it was contamination on the crankshaft sensor caused by an oil leak. Said it would be about $2200 and would be ready by the following Tuesday. Tuesday there's no word so I call Wednesday and left a message for my non-service non-advisor Karla and was told she'd call me back. She didn't so I called again...and then again. Finally she said it would now be ready Friday, which means they hadn't touched it. OK. Picked it up that Friday instead, after 10 days of borrowing cars. A week later and my car has now been leaking coolant for the week and they want to charge me an extra $150 to "diagnose" they damage they probably caused, on top it not being covered by the warranty for whatever they did or didn't do last week. My truck is running better so this review is not for the mechanics, but for the front desk. Communication is poor. I was told "ready this afternoon or tomorrow morning" for days, instead of advising me to get a rental car. When I called for updates my rep seemed annoyed, like finding out the answer was too hard. I assume the mechanics and the reps don't communicate with each other, either. In addition ti the major work my truck needed, I asked them to replace a turn signal bulb. They charged $80 in labor! The rep said the problem needed "diagnosing". My diagnosis of this place: borderline con men. Don't go here. read more

The Ford service dept is bad...really bad...maybe its the employees or possibly the people in charge..none the less avoid them at all cost...i live close and thought I'd give them another chance...my mistake again... i was told an hour to an hour and a half, after 5 hrs on a recall software update on a 2020 ford f 250 for a blank screen i just picked up the truck and went home....more problems were created.....i truly believe the service mechanics don't have a clue how to fix it...they wanted me to leave it overnight...no way would i do that...you can tell by the employees attitude that they know they have problems there...save yourself the frustration and go some were else read more

This was one of the worst service experiences in my life. Ron Carter Jeep/Chrysler should be avoided at all cost - they used to be pretty good, but have declined significantly. They basically held my Jeep SRT hostage for almost 2 weeks and did not start diagnosing until after a week of receiving it. Service Advisor (Katelyn) did a poor job communicating, I was having to call constantly to get updates. They tried to convince me I needed $5000+ worth of repairs when I knew some were not necessary yet (my Jeep has been very well maintained). Had them fix what was urgent now, and will be taking my Jeep SRT elsewhere for future service. Will NOT ever be returning to Ron Carter Jeep/Chrysler service. read more

On August 8, 2023 I took my Ford Edge to Ron Carter in Alvin to have an oil change and tire rotation. When oil change was done, Karla Wilson the service advisor said they could not rotate tires because they could not remove lug nuts. Apparently they were ALL swollen and couldn't be removed. Advised me to order new ones at price of $244.06, and I said go ahead and order. Said she would call when parts are in. On August 23, 2023 called and left her a message to call me. No return call from her. Tried calling again and went to voicemail. Then called service department, and they said they would check and call me back. No response!!! Waited for 3 days for a service Appoinment, only to be told that it would be another 1 to 3 days before they could diagnose the problem, and who knows how long waiting on a part, because they cant ID the part from the VIN #. If you have already waited 3 days for the appointment, you shouldn't have to wait without your vehicle for another 3 days, to even find out if the part is available. read more

This place is an absolute joke. Multiple times I've brought my f150 in for warranty work and it never gets fixed. They keep it for a week and claim that a sensor behind my rear view mirror is going out because of an aftermarket bumper. In addition my service engine light came on because I needed an oil change?? Had nothing to do with the ford app telling me the engine had a misfire... karla Wilson was my service advisor for the last YEAR while I tried to get this issue sorted out and the only thing more dumbfounding than her lack of customer service is her boss Patrick's incompetence. They literally didn't fix anything, and gave me my truck back with an additional sensor going off (in the windshield) because of an after market bumper, evidently. I'll never service a vehicle again nor will I ever buy from a Ron carter again. I spent AN HOUR waiting to talk to the service manager and In that time I repeatedly heard Karla and Doug laugh about how they weren't ever getting to customers till a week or so later because the dept is so mismanaged and the dealership is a joke, their boss is a joke and nothing ever gets fixed. They laugh about how often the phone doesn't get answered. Rest assured Karla is smoking plenty of cigarettes though. Breaks every 5 minutes. Maybe that's why nobody answers when people call. Maybe nothing ever gets fixed because the service manager is worthless too. Spent a ton of money on a loaded f150. I'll go gmc next time and tell everybody I know the same. Best of luck read more

The service department here is a complete joke!! We tried their new "Quick Lane" today for an oil change. After waiting in line 25 minutes WITHOUT being acknowledged, I got out of my car and went to the service desk. I asked what the hold up was and was told they were training and having some hold ups. I asked "Why have you not at least acknowledged the five other cars in line that are just sitting here?!?!?" There were 3 employees STANDING around doing absolutely Nothing while one trained. This is the worst service center I've ever been unfortunate enough to do business with. Do not take your car here! Our Ford F150 was taken to Ron Carter for AC work. Over 2 weeks later, RC called to say the truck was ready. We asked what had been done, and NOTHING in the service report concerned the AC at all!!! Our truck has now been there over a month, with little to no communication concerning progress. The AC has not been serviced as of yet. The service techs are CLUELESS when we attempt to check progress. No loaner car was offered, so we've been paying for a rental car for over a month, out of pocket. Ron Carter is the absolute WORST service center in Texas. Do NOT use them for any repairs. They deserve ZERO stars. read more

Worst dealership ever. They dont return calls or answer the phone. They kept my truck for a week the first time. Didnt fix it and kept it two weeks the second time. i had to just go up there and tell them to give it back to me since they werent working on it. The managers dont return a message or answer and neither does the service department. the best excuse they could give me was their mechanic mashed his hand is why it took so long. it was about a 2 to 3 hour repair and they kept it for 3 weeks total. most shameful customer service i have ever seen in a business. avoid this place at all costs. We brought our vehicle in for a diagnosis in December. We were told to expect a phone call the next day about it. They didn't get to it for a month and even then the communication was minimal. They would never respond to phone messages and sent an occasional vague text message. Who runs a business this way? We had to contact Ford Corporate Offices to get any communication. We brought our vehicle here assuming it would be the best place to take it. We were wrong! What a disappointment. They are one of the worst and most unprofessional businesses we have ever encountered. It was shocking. Stay away from here! read more
