I had been suffering from an unknown allergy issue that many prior doctors were stumped in. Dr Gerba couldn't have been nicer and really took an interest in my condition. Through her help, along with some other amazing doctors they were able to figure out what was giving me problems and guide me towards getting healthy and basically getting my life back. Since my earliest appointment Dr Palumbo has helped me tremendously and honestly my life is better than I ever expected. I can't express enough how wonderful this practice is and all of the employees who work there. I look forward to every appointment and allergy shot and and eternally grateful for them helping me feel good again and get my life back. I would recommend them to anyone who is suffering from an allergy or asthma issue. They are fantastic!

While scheduling out a test at the front desk before leaving I nearly fainted. Everybody there jumped into action to get me into a wheelchair and into a room where they surrounded me and checked my blood sugar, blood pressure and fed me food (some of which I think was from their own lunch!) and gave me juice. They sat with me and explained everything to me about why I almost fainted and printed me out information about vaccine side effects. That's never happened to me before but it does happen. I'm really glad I was there and everybody there took incredibly good care of me. For a first visit it was a little crazy but I feel like I made a really good choice going to McKeesport Internal Medicine. An RN walked me to my car to make sure that I was okay and as soon as I arrived home I received a phone call from the office to check up on me. Absolutely wonderful people here.

I went to an allergist when I was younger and flashbacks started to surface as to the nightmare of a situation I went through as a child. I walked in knowing I was allergic to something, also knowing that I had allergies that I grew out of from when I was younger. It took some strenght walking in here as I wanted to turn around and run. The office is off of Perry Highway in a nondescript building. The inside is nice and the waiting room was on par with any medical facility waiting room. The actual exam room I was in made me wonder what was going on, I kept hearing running water but saw nowhere where that could have been coming from. I talked with the doctor for a good amount of time and he put me at ease. The nurse them came in and did the intial testing to see what I am allergic to. Even though it was uncomfortable to do that certain test, I was taken care of in a rapid manner. I was about to be done when the doctor came in and suggested just a few more tests to determine a little more information, saving me from having to make another visit later. After all the tests were done, Dr. Sergei came in and sat and discussed with me everything I needed to know, about treatment after this, and the medications I may need to use. The staff also made me feel at ease upon checking out of here. Made my appointment for a couple of months down the road, and was on my way.

Also, if you can't get an appointment with Dr. Jarvis directly, they have two great alternatives: a CNP named Julie and a PA named Dimas. I absolutely LOVE both of them too! If you aren't aware CNPs and PAs can both diagnose and prescribe so if you have something that needs immediate attention, you can usually get an appointment the next day.
