When I lived in Langford almost 20 years ago this was a restaurant we frequented, as I love the Romeo's Special pizza - the best in town at the time. This was our first time back at this location and it has declined, in conjunction with the Mall and whole area. Sad. The other 2 Victoria locations are much better and we have been back to them several times recently, and I will single out the Hillside one as my favorite. I do not know why or how the pizza there can be so much better than this location, but it is, as is the atmosphere and decor. Our actual server in Langford was fine, prompt and pleasant. It is the whole experience, incl. food, is worse than competitors and we won't be dining here again even though it was not a "horrible" experience in any way, just that choosing Boston Pizza or White Spot would be more pleasant, and cost the same. read more

I ordered my favorite combo two Saturdays ago for delivery(pizza with lasagna with meat balls).To my surprise when I opened the bag there was a veggie lasagna and cold pizza. I had to phone 3 times to get the host to responded when I did the answer was they would not correct the order or refund me but give me a credit for the meal. just super when you are hungry. Just a heads up: if you have a large group, pay attention to the fine print - tip is usually automatically added. Nothing new. It is also added automatically at Romeo's. Here's the thing that makes you lose hope in humanity: The waitresses here are happy to let you double tip, and don't mention that the tip is already covered. So, that slipped past us, resulting in a 38% tip. Why would you engage in that kind of dishonesty and deceit? A few more nickels in your pocket .... but then I am far less likely to bring repeat business. First I really love Romeo's pizza. Do yourself a favor and dine in or pick it up yourself. Their app charges a $5 delivery fee and another $6 tip (just over $50 total for 2 med pizzas). The driver called to say he was 5 minutes away and then showed up 20 minutes later with 2 lukewarm pizzas both with a soggy wet crust from being steamed in the box. read more

My fiancé and I went in for dinner this past Sunday and we had a great meal. My lasagna was perfect, the salad portion was the exact right size and her pizza was fantastic from sight to taste. We had the best server I've seen in a while and I'm a very picky person as I've ran and started a few successful restaurant chains. Ordered takeout tonight, baked spaghetti and pepperoni pizza with a side of garlic bread. it was more like baked noodles with very little sauce if any, pepperoni pizza was skimpy on the toppings and greasy, garlic bread was so saturated with butter you could wring it out and create a butter puddle. We ordered Two Greek dinners on Saturday Night April 9th. The lady that answered was friendly. Delivery time was only 45 minutes .Then the food was awesome . Came with chicken, rice, roast potatoes, pita bread and Greek salad. Was so good, my guy is usually picky loved it and ate every last bit. During my dining experience at this establishment I could hear someone coughing quite loudly from the kitchen. It was a deep, phlegmy sound that would stop and start over and over repeatedly while I tried to enjoy my food. I asked the waitress about it and she went to the kitchen to inquire. She came back with the news that it wasn't the cook, it was the dishwasher. She didn't think it was anything to worry about until I pointed out the dishwasher handled the clean dishes. I felt sick from hearing the dishwasher coughing up a lung, so I returned the food and walked out. I sent an email to their head office and got no reply. I called the Health Inspector and he interviewed the staff a couple days later including the dishwasher(who was now healthy, hmmm... maybe the sick one was sent home?). They all gave the same story. "Yes, they remember a customer sitting by the windows with a very concerning cough. The staff were all quite concerned about it." End of story. Not sure who the Inspector believed but I thought it was surprising the whole staff would lie about it... Even ones that weren't there. I just wanted to warn people that Romeo's kitchen policy doesn't seem to include sending sick people home to stop the spread of sickness to the public. I've been going to Romeo's for a while. My Mom has always loved their pizza. While I don't love, it is pretty good. They have a good selection of different pizzas. They have other items, but we usually just got take-out pizza. The pizzas are good with a good amount of toppings. Meat lovers seems to be most popular with my Mom and my friends. They are a bit more greasy that I would like and when I put leftovers in the fridge, they have a tendency to fuse with the box. As with most Victoria pizza places, they run 2 for 1. Most pizzas (2 for 1) will set you back around $33 to $36. P.S. Avoid the chicken wings. read more

Well the reason I give this place two stars is because the food was good but the service here sucked waited 20 min for drinks server never came around and for a table of ten they charged us any where from 10 to 20$ gratuity per person which is out of this world considering the server never did her job we even had to bus our own tables to make room and even go up to the bar to get drinks. When I brought this to the managers attention he had no care in the world when we where talking to the manager the server was so rude and came up and started freaking out on us while we were trying to sort things out and getting mad at us for talking to the manager. My spouse went to pick up a Greek salad with 2 skewers of garlic prawns to go for me Friday February 4th 2017 at 6:30 pm. We were on our way to a movie theater. When I opened the bag, there were not prawns but canned baby shrimps (which I don't like). I ate maybe a third of the salad only. That same night and the next day, I got diarrhea, vomiting and fever and spent the next day in bed. I kept the rest of the salad at home in the fridge to return for a refund. When I went the very next day, I did not even get an apology for the wrong shrimps or the inconvenience. The manager/owner looked annoyed and was trying to dismiss my concerns. She did not take responsibility for anything saying that their shrimps are frozen and that the staff eat their own food there all the time and are not sick (like that means anything...). I told her that I worked in the restaurant business for 20 years and that I know how it works. I got no refund, no apologies and I felt invalidated. I will never go back there again. Ordered 4 meals delivered from the Langford Romeo's, 2 of which were the souvlaki wrap. Almost zero tzatziki sauce on the wraps. Phoned to report the dry wrap and the hostess wouldn't pass us on to the manager. Instead checked with the kitchen and suggested we ask for extra tzatziki next time. Okay....... We won't be ordering that meal from them again. I've eaten souvlaki wraps many times over the last 30 years and none of them tasted like plain bread and chicken. No offer of a reimbursement or something to offset the chef's mistake or lack of knowledge on how to actually make a souvlaki wrap. The food is good. That's where it stops. The customer service is terrible. They used to be our go-to place to order pizza from, or for a family dinner out. I have been routinely disappointed with their service. Today I called to make a pizza order and they had a mistake on their website menu (it said there was feta on the bacon cheeseburger) but they said that was a mistake and argued with me over it, stating that I would have to pay for it..despite it being THEIR mistake. Nice place, particularly after the renovations. The food has always been okay. Not ground breaking, but a level or two above the Milestones chain (not hard, granted.) We used to get take-out pasta all the time, but portions and quality started slipping. Now we generally stick to salads and pizza. How hard is it to prepare an order for pick up? I ordered told it would be ready in 20 mins arrive after 23mins waited another 10 to be acknowledged at the desk. Was told my order was still 8-10mins out kept waiting. Was asked to pay, I asked how long until my order was ready. Another 10m as there were 2 orders in front.
