Buccan Sandwich Shop is part of the Ember Group's collection of restaurants led by Chef Clay Conley and his partners, Sam Slattery and Oliver "Piper" Quinn. In 2011 the team opened Buccan, a fine dining restaurant in Palm Beach. In March 2015. Members of the Trump family, Michael Jordan, Martha Stewart, and Travis Kelcoe and Taylor Swift have been spotted dining there. In 2015 the original Buccan Sandwich Shop next to the restaurant on South County Road opened. It was inspired in part by Conley's college days and quickly became known for its gourmet sandwiches and salads, the signature beef carpaccio sandwich, and the decadent chocolate chip cookies. Eventually the sandwich shop concept made its way to West Palm Beach. In February 2023, the second Buccan Sandwich Shop opened as a takeout window next to Conley's former restaurant, Grato, on South Dixie Highway.
