It was crumbling just one good kick and the whole unit would end up being a pile of rusty scrapes! Great customer visuals! On yet another time, I visited I was informed by the female bartender that the decided to go home early. Therefore, the kitchen was closed as we drove out for nothing, wasting our time and gas. Oh well! Not even a I'm sorry! The best time to come here is about 3pm when the city of Chicago workers will assure your safety and a good time eating and drinking. Nobody wants to eat good food in a questionable place. I wish this place would clean up their act.

It's gots a couple pool tables in back area with tables to sit and hang as well and some seating at the bar and a few tables up front. There's a couple small bathrooms, which were clean. I had a couple beers, a Stella (tasted off) and an anti hero, got a bacon burger and onion rings. The burger is good and so are the onion rings, are they the best I've ever had? No, but very good for the value, burger is a decent size with good quality bacon and nice grilled onions with the basics, choice of cheese. The service was fine, the food was better, front bar is not the biggest and probably fills up fast. I'd go again.

Definitely recommend Thomas Restaurant if you're in Chicago. 5 stars from this Texas girl!

Stumble across Red Barrel...the drinks were good and the appetizers sweet sticky chicken was decent the fries were tasty. But my pasta dish was FULL OF SALT. I couldn't finish it. My Freind and husband did the fajitas with steak, chicken and shrimp and they cleared their plates so even though this is supposed to be an Italian place stick with the Mexican cuisine. The kid meal was a good deal and my 10 year old enjoyed it but it wasn't big enough portions so we ordered too. Will I be back? No but it was an interesting experience

Stopped in for their 1pm Tuesday bingo. Have been here before and enjoy playing bingo, but realize…read morethat the actual game won't start until about 1:30pm. The attendant for bingo starts handing out the cards about 1:10pm. There were also many saved seats at the bar and some tables. A few did not show up so the seats were opened a little after 1pm. So get there early to get a seat. We had a couple drinks. Vodka and sprite and a Pinot Grigio. Both were reasonably priced. The soup special was tomato bisque with shrimp. The soup was very good. A little thicker than I prefer, but there was a decent amount of shrimp. Also ordered the onion ring tower. The rings were plated, no longer served in a tower. But the rings were fresh and tasty. Served with a spicy thousand island sauce. One constant here is that every time we have visited the service has beef excellent. Ashley greater is making us immediately feel comfortable. I love the way the people behind the bar back each other up. Niko makes sure there is no gap. Looking forward to our next visit.

I am extremely disappointed and hurt by the way I was treated at this establishment. I have been a…read morecustomer and have always referred other customers to this business because I genuinely supported them. I paid my tab, yet the establishment contacted the police and reported that I had not paid. The police ultimately came to my home and questioned me about the alleged unpaid tab. I provided proof through my bank statement showing that the payment had been made. Even after proving that I had paid, I still took the time to return to the establishment and show them proof of the payment myself. As a Hispanic customer, I cannot help but feel that I was racially profiled and treated differently. What makes this even more upsetting is that I have supported this business and referred customers to them, only to have my character questioned and law enforcement sent to my home over a tab that I had already paid. This experience was humiliating, unnecessary, and extremely disappointing. I believe customers deserve to be treated with respect regardless of their race or ethnicity, and I expect this situation to be taken seriously.
