Omni, on the other hand, conducted themselves with integrity and were very easy to work with for the duration of my lease. When something needed to be fixed, they got it fixed. If there was some sort of miscommunication, they did not hesitate to clear it up. They were always very kind with me, and when I moved out, I received my entire security deposit back; apparently this is rare among Bellingham rental agencies, but I wouldn't know because I've only ever rented from Omni and they were awesome. If you are an honest, respectful person, they will provide those same qualities in return. Don't hesitate to reach out to them if you need a place to rent!

Westview Real Estate's handling of security deposits is truly fraudulent. I requested both a comparison of the damage charges for the tenant who vacated the same unit in September 2024, to establish a baseline, and aggregate data showing the percentage of deposits returned to tenants in this building for 2024, but they have refused to provide it. The absence of a deposit appeal form or process, coupled with the inflated deductions, suggests that the organization operates in a fundamentally dishonest and exploitative manner. It's astounding that such practices are still happening in 2025. Renters deserve protection from this systematic and predatory process.

Someone came out to look at this issueue. I was told it was "user error" and was charged a fee for having someone look at it. I was told someone has to bear the cost (I guess it is the tenant!) and the vendor had to be paid for their time. Seems to me, that is simply a cost of doing business. When I objected to the charge, I was told it might have been waived but for my "tone". This is corporate America taking advantage of the small guy. It seems that if someone was there to also look at several other things, it is unacceptable to charge a separate fee for the heat check. Tacking on additional charges is how real estate companies increase their profits. Moreover, if the real estate company has their own maintenance team or a contract with the "vendor", those people have already been paid. I have asked to see the bill for this "service" but have not received it. Should they produce the actual bill, it will be interesting to see if they charged me more than the actual charge. It seems to me, the company would want to encourage a tenant to report issues but if a tenant does, they run the risk of being charged if they deem the issue is "user error".This is customer service at its worst.

I was told today that new ones will be installed in mid-November. Nine months to resolve an issue is ridiculous. When I asked what would be done if the last washer broke, the manager, Stephanie, said, "Nothing." I've stayed away from property management companies for this reason. This company does not care; stay away from any of their properties if you can.
