So we had unexpected company confirm that they were coming over today thanksgiving 10 days before Thanksgiving day. My dad and I were panicked because we needed new furniture (since we threw out our old furniture). We searched EVERYWHERE the weekend before turkey day and couldn't find ANYTHING that was inexpensive but also of decent quality and looked nice... I got so desperate as to look on craigslist. LUCKILY I did bc Rom Decor advertised their furniture there. A lot of the items that they have in the store range from traditional to Modern and everything in between. They have pictures of furniture that they sell on their website on the floor. This is likely due to the fact that the space of their store is pretty small. It would be awesome if they could have all of their furniture pieces on their floor so that the customers could see and feel and sit and lay etc. But honestly, given my experience with them, I trust that what they is not in the store is what it is. Now the second mission was to see if there was a way to get it before Thanksgiving. The man there, who was taking care of his business, and letting me take care of mine, was very frank with me about the delivery of the couch. Although quite serious, in a businessman kind of way, he explained to me that he could try his best to make sure that the furniture would be delivered by Wednesday. He made a call and he let me know that if I bought them today then he can have them delivered by Wednesday; even if that meant that he would deliver it in his own truck instead of Contracting out (this is bc we live down the street). Sure enough he delivered on time. This store is a well run business and I can tell that it is because of the owners and his wife's hard work. They truly care about the satisfaction of their customers. IN ADDITION, the store offers a great variety of furniture pieces. Found this company on the Facebook market place looking for a mirrored table. I called the store multiple times and nobody ever answered. Finally I messaged the store via Facebook only to be told the store opens at 12 not 11am. Maybe you should update yelp and google to help your clients better. The Facebook handler also gave me a personal cell number to contact (since I couldnt get anyone to answer the shop phone) which then led me to a man who very sparsely returned my phones and texts messages, taking days to respond. Very poor communication. I found a furniture supplier who Will sell me the table for $50 cheaper so I asked rom decor if they would price match which they declined. Well okay. You lost a sale and I got to keep $50 of my money. Not to mention given the terrible costumer service, I was glad to find a different company. read more

COMPLETE FRAUDS. To this day, this store will still not pick up my phone when I call using my cell phone. The phone number listed by this store isn't even a real phone number. It is a google voice number that reroutes to another cell phone with area code 949. Save yourself from the grief and shop elsewhere. This whole ordeal wasted hours of my life for the dumbest scam that they tried to pull on me. Another reviewer had the same exact problem as I did, and the positive reviews for this company are written by people with little to no reviews, which makes it seem very shady. Now their best retort is to claim that my review is false, and that I have never bought anything, which is actually somewhat true. I ended up not buying anything because this store refused to deliver the furniture that I had already paid for, and I got my money back from American Express after winning the dispute. To summarize everything that happened: I found a piece of furniture that they sell, but another store had a lower price. I called them since they had a price match guarantee, and they said they would match the price. I paid them, and they stopped responding altogether. Eventually, I used another number to call them, and someone picked up. The guy who picked up said they can no longer match the price, and that I will have to fork out the difference. I said no, and wanted a refund, but they refused. I disputed the transaction with American Express, which I won. These guys even tried to claim that the item has been delivered to me, but couldn't substantiate their claim with any proof of delivery. read more

I personally had a great experience with this company. I wanted a specific bedroom set that was only available in Cali, and I live in MA. I had contacted a few retail stores in my area and they said it would take about 3 months if they were to order it for me. I couldn't wait that long, so I found Romdecor online and contacted them to see if it would be possible to deliver to MA and if so, to send me the total price including taxes and shipping fees. Within a few hours I received a call from Radu giving me all the details. He was super professional and honest about the delivery time. His price and delivery time was actually better than the other places. I received the whole set in about four weeks and it was exactly as described in his website. And I have to say that it arrived in my town within 2 weeks of purchase, however, the shipping company that he used left it sitting in their warehouse for about 2 weeks, which I understand was not in his control. The man who runs the store was very patient with us and we explained our budget and we needed up getting the bedroom set I always wanted to fit in our price range. He didn't come off like a salesman, instead helped us get the furniture price as low as possible and delivered to our house. One dresser came damaged from the company he purchases it from and he did everything in his power to bring another one immediately, then that company sent another defective one and he promptly took care of it. Terrible! Call the place before I submitted my order online to confirm that they had the sofa in stock. Guy over the phone told me that they had it and that they would call me the following day to schedule delivery. Waited two days and finally called and left a message. Didn't hear from them until a week later when I received an email notifying me that my order had been cancelled. Of course being upset I gave them a call and the same guy who I spoke with informed me that the item is damaged and they are not able to get a replacement. He proceeds to tell me that he called me back on Tuesday and left me a voicemail which I called BS! Due to the nature of my business I have to stay on top of my phone calls so I know for a fact that I was not called. Double check I took a look at my voicemails and confirmed that they did not leave one. Don't do it... It didn't take that long to receive my furniture but I did have a problem with it (due to the manufacturer, not Rom Decor) and Radu was on top of taking care of it for me. I did have to go back and forth with him due to manufacturer delays but not one time was he ever bothered by my calls and he was always sure to return my messages. Literally worst place ever. I don't know what all these people are talking about that they got great service. I went to the place in person to purchase a $300 desk that I was told over the phone they DID have in stock. I could not take it home in my car so the owner and I agreed he would drop it off in a couple of days. Days passed, and he didn't call so I called him. He said he had not received it and would get it the morning after. Which told me he was bullshiyying because when I went in person he said he already had it. I ignored his lies and agreed to him calling me the next day to agree on a time he could drop it off. Again, it was the end of the day and he didnt call so I called him. HE WOULDNT ANSWER MY CALLS. I then called from my dads phone and HE ANSWERED. He said he would again call me back to let me know what time he could drop it off and AGAIN he never did. I called his bitchass again after 3 hours and he wouldn't answer my number nor my dads. I was done with his dumb shit so I decided I would make the drive and talk to his lying ass in person. His face when I walked in was priceless. He had every excuse in the book to why he hadn't called me back and even said he didn't know who I was and he forgot he had spoken to me. Only reason why someone would be acting this way is if they were planning on scamming you. Then he said it was because he had called the wrong person back which didn't justify the fact that he had been purposely avoiding me. He couldn't keep up his argument anymore so he said you can take your desk, which is why I went in the first place with a different car. He helped us load it in the car which was about the only good thing he did. All in all, he was obviously extremely rude, unprofessional and a liar. He would have not been acting in such ways if he had not had my money in hand already, as he did. The only reason I chose to buy from him was because it was free delivery, but his prices were the same, if not more, than other places. Considering the fact that I had to pick it up myself because of his scamming ways, I wouldve bought from someone else. There is no reason someone shouldn't answer their business calls for hours on end during business hours. He made me waste my valueable time and underestimated me, thinking that I would let it slide but do not let him do this to you.
