The staff is really friendly. I always like talking to the owner when sitting at the club house. He always has some stories to tell. You can't bring coolers, but they have plenty of coolers that you can fill up with beer and soda. I'm excited that they now have Spotted Cow in a can! It's rarely busy here, which is nice if you are newer and don't like being rushed by other golfers. There's a good number of Par 3 holes that are not too difficult. The rest of the holes are over 300 yards and are good for getting out your driver and swinging the crap out of that ball. The greens though can be tricky....hills...THOSE DAMN HILLS! I always enjoy playing on this course and will keep coming for years to come.

Last item to note is that there is a surcharge for using a debit card....which is quite surprising for a golf course but not surprising in today's world....Did not see any notice on the menu or at the register so heads up to others.

Overall the course is laid out well and the front nine is the most scenic. The view from #7 tee is breathtaking! Prices are reasonable and their spring rates are fantastic! A few holes go right along the state park. The back 9 is much more open. Drainage was an issue last year and it always seemed like after it rained it took forever for the course to dry out. Fairways are very bumpy and uneven. Whoever selects pin placements should be fired. This isn't a mini golf course where you score points for "most difficult shots". There were several times where the pin was literally on the side of a slope on the green, one time less than 3 feet from the fringe on a rather large green. A couple years ago the place was pretty rough but new owners have been making improvements. I believe a couple new tees are being added to change it up.

Some really cool uphill and downhill holes with beautiful landscape. We didn't stay for food or drinks afterwards but it was a nice club house and nothing seemed to be overpriced. All drinks from what I saw on the bev cart were $5 which I think is a steal compared to other courses. No complaints there and they didn't skimp on mixed drinks. As a group of 5 Chicago guys, we had no issues getting along with everyone on the course and employees, which isn't always the case going to various out of state locations. I have played Tuscumbia for 30 years and I have never seen it so run down. The putting greens were half blackened dirt, garbage overflowing in the men's bathroom, no water in the hall washers and no food in the clubhouse. And they had the balls to charge full price.
