When men tee'd off he would discuss the day, because we had women in are group he annoced that we where on the tee and that is all. On the 9th hole you are able to call ahead to have your food prepared when you finished the hole. I ended up getting a pulled pork sandwich and it was pretty good. However, I would probably try the club sandwich next time. Overall the course has a unique layout, some challenging holes, and is a great course for the value (around $70 during prime time). We were considering quitting and getting our money back after hole 3 when their rules guy came out to tell us to play faster. That made us all upset and affected our golf games as well. It is common courtesy to allow an oncoming group to pass, which we were doing, yet the course rule enforcement guys were dictating our pace. We decided on playing four player scramble in order to keep up. This course should consider becoming private if they are pushing this on everyone. I will not be coming back unless they ease off.

We could have stayed in the bar for hours during the rain that started after our round but unfortunately had to leave to get back home. Coming out here from Chicago for a guys weekend, we were welcomed by everyone at the course, which is NOT typical of other places we have visited in Wisconsin. I would highly recommend this course. Proved to have some difficult holes but was so much fun. Bathrooms are very clean, easy course to get to and no issues getting a tee time.

Overall, GLC is an excellent place to recharge your batteries, anyone who doesn't enjoy it, doesn't enjoy life to its fullest.

It fits the definition of "glamping" with all the amenities. Of course they really cram in the campsites so you are very close to everyone around you...which is ok but can hear EVERYthing the others do. The part that stood out the most was the great customer service of the staff. Always a smile and a hello. The kids all went to buy candy in the store and when realizing they were $ .11 short the wonderful lady behind the counter gave them a little wink and covered each of them...not a huge amount at $ .33 but it was a very nice gesture and the kids thought it was so great!

Dealing with the staff was easy (via phone or in person) - super friendly folks with all the answers to our questions. They have a nice little practice green, and a great driving range. The whole facility is well kept. The course is in really good shape. Probably the fastest greens I've played all season. We didn't notice many (any?) weeds. The greens were clean, and the immediate rough around greens and fairway were pretty decent. The layout is fairly basic - just par 3s and 4s (for the primary 9 at least - we didn't hit holes 10, 11 or 12). The most "character" you'll find is a picturesque tee shot over a mid-fairway fountain. No dog-legs are bends on this course - all straight shots. Along with straight shots - accuracy is required as most holes are pretty tight. There's not a lot of forgiveness if you're not in the fairway. You'll be in the woods, prairie grass or, on the more "open" holes, punching out from under a tree. I'd consider playing here again. Would I pay rack rate? Probably not when I could find a round at a full par-72 course for a couple more bucks. But getting a deal helps (see various golf deal websites) If I lived close, I'd consider a membership as it's fairly affordable for what you get.

My family has been coming here for a long time and I have always loved spending time around the…read moreconference center. My complaint is regarding the craft center on the grounds. They have a piece of paper on display with directions on how to draw "oriental eyes". My Asian family who has been involved deeply in the conference center has complained about this multiple times now, and the craft center has failed to simply apologize and get rid of this. It is disrespectful, off putting, outdated, and just awful. Get rid of this now or you'll start losing customers and supporters. It's 2025 get with the times!

Was able to get drinks and refills with not too much of a wait. Buffalo Wings were solid. The clubouse had a very good patio, was cool to relax out there after our round with a bourbon. Condo was nice and clean, few amenities, balconies that back up to the fairways. The replica holes were a fun challenge. There was a very nice lady who cleaned our clubs while my group finished the 18th hole. The not so good: For what you're paying for on this course, I expect a little more. Half of the ball washers were empty, none at all had towels. Water coolers on the course were entirely empty on a hot day. Greens were not very well kept, all kinds of chunks taken out of them. Beverage cart was few and far between. One of the guys who worked there had some pace-of-play comments to make to us, even though we were keeping up with and pushing the group in front of us. Overall, had a good time but at those rates, hope you make it a little more worth our while.
