History
Established in 2000.
I started my painting career in 1989 after the Loma Prieta Earthquake rocked the Bay Area. I was living in Santa Cruz at the time. My dad always told me to learn a trade. What an appropriate time to learn a trade, after the earthquake given all the destruction that occurred. I applied with a little painting company in Santa Cruz. This is when my painting career began. When I shared with my dad that I was learning a trade, painting, he said “not that trade”. He was a 40 year IBEW Union Electrician and his trade treated him well. He learned to bite his tongue realizing I made the most of house painting throughout my life.
I recently needed to relocate due to personal reasons. I found myself in the Durham area. I am now faced with starting a new business. I realized Surf City Paintings name would not transfer very well so I thought long and hard and realized, what have I been doing my life. I’ve been Rolling Along Painting. Perfect. And here I am, Rolling Along Painting.
Meet the Business Owner: Ron M.
I started Rolling Along Painting after dissolving my other successful business, Surf City Painting, because of me needing to be closer to family. Surf City Painting is geographical and it's name would not work in the Sierra Foothills. Rolling Along Painting was a good fit for my life as a house painter, the dot com was available, so here I am, Rolling Along Painting. I'm good at what I do. As a painter and as a businessman. I went back to school in 2014 and completed my B.S. in Business Management at the age of 40. It was something I wanted and needed to do. I learned to make my business better. I learned that I wanted to be the best I can be. Meet my potential. And so I am starting again and that is ok. I am privileged to have owned and operated a successful painting business before. I will take the knowledge I learned running Surf City Painting and apply it to Rolling Along Painting. I want to offer a positive house painting experience for my clients moving forward.
