Absolutely horrible experience the last two times we were there. This time the worst! So we just left Rollerland West skating rink. Massive amounts of people. Told the "manager " the last time we were her the "DJ" was not paying attention and plowed into my son, a new skater.. She dismissed me even though I said I am not being a Karen just have him watch out for kids. 3 Birthday parties and at least 200 people with older kids knocking kids down. One lady was at the return and said one of the girl employees snatched a trainer from her son yelling at him because it wasn't his. She was furious too. Then my daughter got plowed by some teenage jerk and I was done. Way too many people. So on the way out I asked the "manager" Are there any rules? Is there anything you or your staff do to protect younger children? She said "We have the ref (the DJ who plowed my son last time we were there) watching the floor" I said "how's that working for you?" Then I asked for the max capacity from the county for the "establishment" and she said it 900. I said seriously and 1 person on the rink (who doesn't do his job) is responsible for the amount of people in here now? She said "oh we can have 2 but it's to our discretion. WTH? Kids getting hurt left and right and that's her response ? Yeah we will be finding another place to go read more

Dirtiest place I've ever been to! Seriously this place looked like an abandoned roller skating rink from the 80's they decided to open for one night. Ceiling tiles bulging with mildew, carpet so stained I couldn't tell you the original color and the bathrooms... Ugh. The skates are a complete mess. Imagine spending 2-hours feeling like you're skating on a bumpy road. All the skates and I mean all of them, had so much gum and dirt that it made skating unbearable. If you're looking to have a nostalgic moment from the past... Don't come here. But then again. I really only think it's a matter of time until the health department shuts them down. We had a blast with the little kids who were afraid, then did want to leave because they figured it out.

I've read other reviews out there and they were not real good; but those reviews were also really dated. I want to put something up current. I had my daughter 8th Bday party here yesterday and it was a great time. The owner (I presume new,) Harry is great! He bent over backwards for us to make sure we had a good time. It was first party planning experience as a single Dad, and I might have forgot a few things; Harry came through and nothing was lost. All the staff members were nice and helpful. The place was clean and orderly. The skating surface was in decent shape for as old as the place is. The kids had fun and the place was packed, what more could you ask for. Just a note for those complaining about the facility. It's a roller rink that was probably built in the 80's. No one is building any new skating rinks that I've heard of so keep that in mind when you review. read more

It is old and unkept! Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Only 2 stalls one of them the door doesn't close and have a big gap. No paper towels, only an old air blower and it sucks. You literally are grossed out to touch anything in there. Service is deplorable! Skating times are short and as soon as they say is over they push you out the door in less than 5 minutes. We were here for a birthday party will never going back! Skating ring is old and not that slippery Sonia good for little kids. The size is half of the one in Arlington. I've been trying to get my husband to come here for years. A date night? No. We are too old to be hangin out at skatin rinks he said. It took having kids to bring the kid out in him to come here. As kids, we used to live in roller skates. I haven't skated in 10 years+ though prior to this. You can tell this place used to hoppin in the 80's and 90's, maybe even 70's. It hasn't changed much either since. The skates are old and have a smell. The carpet looks like it's been here since it opened. It's a little dingy. But.. Hey.. do you see any other skating rinks around? No, so this is as good as it gets. $30 for 2 kids and 2 adults to skate. That is with roller blade upgrades for the husband and I. Definitely a good workout, half way around the rink and I was sweating! There is no doubt that I will be back. I just wish they opened earlier, open later than 9-10:30, and more days for public skating. read more

Great place for my girls to have fun on a weekend. Their sound system could be a little louder. It's an older roller rink, the floor is wooden. The skates could use a good cleaning and tightening, but pay I think it'd $2 or $3 more for the fast skates & they are in a lot better shape. They play good music, and take requests if it's clean. read more

Horrible - stay away. The owner clearly does not care about their business (or keeping business.) The music is horrible, the skating floor is badly in need of repair, cleaning and waxing. The other floors are horribly dirty and covered in gum, dried soda and food stains. The skate staff are a bunch of kids and there is virtually zero supervision of what's going on on the skate floor. You're better off going somewhere else around town. read more

This place is absolutely terrible from the unprofessional staff to the janky floor of the actual skating rink. The staff is rude to its customers and no one is reffing the skating floor. You have people skating backwards with kids skating and could get seriously hurt. The food was nasty also. The wood skating floor has no apoxy or whatever they are suppose cover the floor with so it's hard to skate and you can feel all types of bumps in the wood. It looks as if the owners have thrown some money at cleaning the place up. Fresh carpet and paint. Floor had a little water damage but nothing too bad. It made our blast in the past fun time more enjoyable. 25 years ago I spent every weekend in this place and it was great to see it still bringing smiles for the different generations. I remember the year Rollerland West Opened... this place made my life. I feel like i lived there. I made so many friends that I still see. I take my children to Rollerland now and my son just joined the Speed Team. If you want to have a great time with your whole family this is the place to go. Birthday parties are so easy to have here and very reasonable. Actually, all their prices are easy on the wallet. Take your family or just take yourself, have fun and get some exercise. This place is old and dirty....it's hard to believe they can stay in business. The parking lot is your first clue that the place is a dump....and the restrooms.....don't get me started. The rental skates haven't been replaced in years. I will say, however, that the roller rink itself is quite large and nice and smooth. I just wish they would clean up the place. My kids have blast every time we go. We have been to many kids bday parties. We also had our own sons birthday there and had s good experience and it was priced well. The skating ring does look like it has been there since the 80s, but my kids don't seem to care. They let my kids use there own roller blades, and they loosen and tighten my littlest ones rental skates until they are where she can skate. Overall it is a good place to take the kids. read more

The two stars are because we did have fun. However, it stinks pretty bad, the skates are not taken care of, the floor isn't taken care of and their website said $4.00 but they put their prices up for Spring Break. Lady at the front was nice but overall a pretty sad rink to visit. read more

I agree with the first review, the parking lot is tore up. The place is filthy and there is no one guiding the skaters and monitoring the traffic flow. My husband and I went tonight thinking we would have some fun. Instead we were dodging girls on the skating floor dancing in their socks. People walking around the rink in their shoes. Kids laying and sitting on the rink floor just relaxing carrying on conversations. People going the opposite direction of the traffic flow. Not to forget to mention how many people can you stuff in one DJ box, have no fear if you don't fit in the box just pull up a chair and sit on the rink. The concession stand eating area butts up to the rink and people hang out on the wall like its the local bar. We were lucky to find a clean locker that wasn't matted with melted lolly pops or spilled soda cups. The real topper was the last song of the night literally was screaming the words f*%#@ you. Not at all what I had in mind for a night of fun. I'll be taking my 16 bucks elsewhere. read more
