CYCLEBAR @ REDMOND TOWN CENTER…read more As a first timer, I was super excited to check out this spot. They are huge on emails, I mean I got sent 4 different emails about which bike i'm on, the time I need to be there, etc. So be ready to get spammed and reminded! Parking was available and free, i'd recommend parking in the garage! Cycle Bar is located on the top floor. Checking in could've been improved - I wasn't greeted by the front desk until she realized I was new since everyone that walked in just signed in through a side Ipad. However she was kind to show me the cycling shoes. Walking into the place where the lockers were was very welcoming - they celebrated new coming people as well as a people who hit milestones. I loved seeing my name on there, it was so adorable. The cycling class itself was super fun and energetic! Shoutout to the instructor Emily G for making me feel super welcomed and helping me set up. Overall, this class was incredible - I definitely love how lively everyone is in the room. This spot should definitely expand to bigger!

The class coach was awesome too. So much great positive energy in that room! I felt empowered and fueled to do my best during class. Its a great workout that is not too difficult and you really get your heart rate up and a good sweat going. I enjoyed getting to turn my mind off and focus on the workout.

The teachers here are amazing, they're not just there to coach, they actually jump in and work out with you, which makes the whole experience so much more motivating. This place has changed over time, but it still delivers a workout that's fun and keeps you coming back. I'm still mourning the loss of Blended (their smoothie and açaí shop), who doesn't love a post-workout treat that feels like a reward? Right now, that space looks like it's under construction, so I'm hoping they bring it back or create something just as great. They also moved the entrance further up the street, and the new self-check-in system makes things way smoother so no more awkward moments while someone looks for your name. As for the workouts, they've got spin, yoga, strength training, and Shred. Shred is like mat Pilates on steroids with free weights, resistance bands, and weighted balls. My favorites are yoga and Shred, both in infrared-heated rooms, so you'll definitely sweat it out. The vibe is on point with cool lighting and upbeat music that keeps you going (even through endless planks). Plus, their waiting area is surprisingly big and has a fun, modern feel. Parking? Super easy. There's free parking in the apartment complex this space is in, and if that's full, street parking is usually close by. Overall, Studio 3 still delivers, even with the changes. Now if only those smoothies would make a comeback.......fingers crossed for summer!

SoulCycle SLU changed that for me, and I absolutely love their total body, dance-rhythmic approach to indoor cycling. Every instructor here is top notch - their playlists are at the same time current and classic, and most importantly, fun! By the time our ride ends, I cannot believe that 45 minutes have passed, and check my calorie monitor to see that I've burned 500-600 calories. Every. Single. Time. The facilities are also super clean (I'm very picky about this in a gym or studio), and the staff are willing to help you get set up for your first (or second, or third, or fourth...) time riding! The experience is a must-try. The space is on the small side, but in some ways, the intimacy is what makes riding at SoulCycle SLU so fun. Also, changing / grabbing a bathroom or shower has never been an issue for me--I think that there's ample space in the common areas to get your stuff together before & after class. You really feel camaraderie with both the other riders and your instructor with each and every ride, and I can't say that about any other cycling class that I've ever taken. I'm sold--SoulCycle is my new favorite way to workout.

It was my second ride at 1Rider. 1Rider's studio fits about 20 bikes, and half were taken. We also got a good arm workout in. They provide towels, lockers, even shoes. There are no excuses, just go. Please see the attached photos for all the information they posted about this deal- it seemed too good to be true but I assumed they were just trying to get new folks in the door. When I went to pick them up, they handed me the "gift cards"- they were coupons for $100 off one of their cycling packages or fitness programs, with an expiration date of 1/31. I asked how to load the gift cards to my account, and I was told by the sales associate that "they were gifts FOR friends and family, you can't use them for yourself". She also said that there had been a lot of confusion about this with other customers, and "at least they were only $10, right?". I asked for a refund because this was not what I thought I had purchased based on their very simple marketing of "spend $10 bucks, receive a $100 Gift Card" with no details or terms, and she told me she'd have the owner reach out. I have received email communication from the studio owner Kati, who tried to help me by offering to let me use the coupons in different ways, but ultimately said she couldn't refund my order and told me to follow up if I had additional questions. I have since tried to follow up via phone and email with the studio to pursue a refund, and have not heard back from anyone since December 8. I am assuming they didn't intentionally scam people out of their money, but their very misleading marketing pitch and lack of details at the point of sale for these gift cards led to me paying for $500 in gift cards, receiving a receipt for $500 in gift cards, and three and a half weeks later I still have no actual gift cards or a refund from the business. Super disappointed with their response, especially with how fun and supportive they portray themselves to be.

I started in December and as a beginner rider, I appreciated the instruction that was given by 3 different instructors in 3 different classes that I took. Before I got on a bike, I was helped with seat position, and was helped in setting up my bike for my body frame. As we got ready to start, instructors explained hand positions, what we would be doing and most importantly they explained that we needed to go at our own pace. Of course my first class was difficult, but once I got the hang of it, I got a pretty sweaty workout. I also like that the room is dark and candlelit cause it really does help me zone out of my day and get a great workout in. Everyone, from the girls at the front desk, to instructors are very friendly and already know my name only after a few classes. Classes need to be reserved in advance, which sometimes is a not a good thing if your aren't sure if you can make the class, but for me, I have found that reserving ahead of time keeps me accountable and coming back for more! Theme classes are fun and I always leave sweaty and ugly!
