Yakimeshi Teriyaki Bowl. Just have in mind that taste more like teriyaki than a Yakimeshi rice.

In this place the food is good and the prices are really reasonable. You order your food, they give you a number and they get your food to your table. Only ice tea has free refills. The place is clean, a lot of parking and the staff is attentive. You can see at the kitchen window how the sushi is made, we were explained by the manager that they have a sort of production lines making one type of sushi each to give your order a 15-20 lead time. That's why is called the Roll Factory, really neat.

I've been a loyal customer of Sakura for years, but sadly, my recent visits have made me question…read morewhether I'll be coming back anytime soon. While the Teppanyaki remains a strong point and it's still a great venue for family parties and events, the Sushi and Sashimi quality has deteriorated significantly over time. With Todays visit, I started with the Hamachi Aji, which is Yellowtail served in yellow Aji sauce. When it arrived, the fish was practically swimming in the sauce, giving me an immediate impression of what was to come. The dish was overwhelmingly sour, with a mixture of lime juice and yellow sauce that reminded me of a Mariscos type aguachile dish, but without any of the expected spice. I wasn't a fan of the sourness, as I personally prefer sashimi in its pure, unadulterated form. By the time the Yellowtail reached our table, it was cooked in Lime juice. When I shared my feedback with the waiter, he explained that this particular dish was supposed to have a citrusy flavor and suggested it might not be to my taste. While I understand that regional differences exist, I've dined at many sushi restaurants, and this approach just didn't sit well with me. Next, we tried a sashimi sampler, which included yellowtail, tuna, and salmon. Unfortunately, it was more of the same disappointment. The salmon had a distinct "briney" smell and a mushy texture, making it almost inedible. The tuna was bland and had a new borderline salty taste, while the yellowtail was the only fish that seemed passable, with decent texture and flavor. It's clear that the quality of the food has worsened over the years. I first visited Sakura back in 2001, and I've watched it decline in both freshness and preparation these last few years. To add insult to injury, after I expressed my concerns to the waiter, I overheard him talking to the kitchen staff about my comments, and they were laughing about it in the back. That really left a bad taste in my mouth--not only was the food subpar, but the lack of professionalism in handling feedback was disappointing. I didn't bother checking Yelp reviews before my visit because I've been coming here for so long, but after this experience, I'm definitely going to be more cautious about my next dining decisions. I won't be returning to Sakura unless I see a marked improvement in both the food and service.

No, they are not making sushi wrong, you are ordering wrong…read more You came here and ordered a silly roll from the 50 state menu. A wise man orders the cheaper , authentic raw rolls (one state roll = two raw rolls). Specifically salmon and then gets a green tea to go with that. You will see that though yes, there may be a better sushi spot in Los Angeles, we don't live in Los Angeles, we live in the imperial valley. This place is managed by a guy who knows what he's doing, but you have to order the real "RAW ROLLS", you can tell which ones are good because they come wrapped with seaweed OUTSIDE. The only complaint I had here is usually my sushi in other places is colder, but it was done very amazingly here and on par with places outside of the imperial valley. The green tea they gave me was beautiful. I would come here more frequently if not for the distance. I'll say it once more, if you rate this below a 4, come again and order correctly you will see this place is objectively good. Small menu, objectively good, and objectively cheap for California. Actually, I've been to NorCal and this place does beat out NorCal. Hate to see this place rated so low.

This was the very first time I got back to the hotel a 20 minute drive and there was no wasabi wtf horrible service . Please don't go there the staff was rude and again wtf no wasabi. If it was better quality maybe it would be okay. Couldn't eat it luckily got a couple other items that were somewhat edible but the sushi wasn't. Wasted about $45 on the stuff I couldn't eat.
