The pop-up evolved to a permanent location and things changed, owners changed and my beloved huevos were not the same, something didn't feel right. By pure coincidence and to my excitement I found that the original creator was back with a new pop-up concept with new and old menu items so naturally, I couldn't wait to get that familiar huevos flavour back and as I type this, the taste of the sour cream and salsa fresca are still in my mouth. The location is a mix between coffee-shop, evening venue and co-working space with a berlin "pieced-together" but at the same time industrial-ish layed back feel. Coffee is provided by Berlin's own five elephant and the menu offers everything needed to recover from a mean hangover or just indulging in a weekend brunch and treating your gluttonous self. A DJ rounded up the pop-up experience with a very fitting and mellow mix of tunes and had us whipping out shazam. Long story short and let me sum this up in one word: go.

My friend has a mushroom allergy and asked if she could substitute mushroom for something else and the waitress was repeatedly asking if it's an allergy because they won't substitute if it's just a preference.

All orders have been delivered on time and complete. With the exception of a protein substitute I did not select, I've had no issues...and the substitute was yummy. The produce is always fresh, the ingredients are good or high quality and I've never had a problem following the recipes. Granted, I cook a lot, so prep and execution comes easily for me. I also tend to amp things up especially if a recipe has garlic, lemon, lime juice or zest and other spices. And let's face it, one garlic clove is never enough. Ever. The Mr thinks I'm silly for ordering HF meals because my pantry and fridge are generously filled. Frankly, I love taking a break from meal planning and grocery shopping. Apart from having to set aside time to skip weeks (or months) the process is simple and straightforward. Skip or unskip. A box this week, no box next week or the week after. Start again. Stop again. No problem. I decide. It's super convenient. There's no need to sign up (or give a credit card number) to see the meals. They're accessible, customizable and they can be as healthy as you want them to be. I love that I can re-use recipes and change them up and revise as my cravings shift.
