I like that they don't sell their home loans, they keep them in house, which I prefer, you do all the work to choose a lender, find one you like and then they turn around and sell your loan to come one across the nation to a bank you don't even know, so with WaFd you know you will always be dealing with the bank you chose. i rented a dumpy little hole in the wall apartment from them for 6 years - paid a $750 deposit,…read morefigured i'd never see it again after i moved in, and certainly still felt like that after 6 years - who gets part of their deposit back after 6 years?? i moved out a month ago and just got a check for $510 from them. over the last month ive been reading all these bad reviews on google and yelp and figured they'd nickel and dime me to death afterwards, but no, they didn't. i paid my rent on time every month and didn't destroy anything. i cleaned the heck out of the apartment when i moved out. sure, their maintenance department is a little slow and needs lots of reminders, but hey, no one is perfect. a ticked off person is 10 times more likely to leave a review than a happy person, so take that into consideration when you read all these bad reviews. i'd rent from them again.
