Privacy with the information relayed is seriously in question here to me. When asked for status on taxes I was immediately told they are in process with an accountant working from home due to Covid 19 and has children so is only working part time. Children come first was boldly stated to me. I understand the Covid 19 issue, I asked again and several times was told in process and when asked when the taxes would be completed, I was told no answer to that and an extension had been filed for the May term and would be extended after that should the taxes not be completed at the term time. So the person I spoke with became very defensive at my insisting for a time line and said in this case we should just disengage. I did not choose to disengage, only asked for the status. Asked to have the CPA contact me. Call ended. 10 minutes later or less I received call thinking it was the CPA . Wrong. It was the secretary who advised me we had been disengaged and to pick up my paperwork. When I did pick up my paperwork I stated I was not being rude, but I was clearly asking for a report and no one wanted to admit nothing had been done. It was easier to just get rid of me. I requested to speak to the CPA and have him contact me. Nothing, no call no explanation, nothing. So if you want your taxes done by the CPA or by an outside accountant in their home, you make the choice. I will not give this service a good rating. Not by a long shot. Yes, I am a firm person and deserved a better response than to just tell me we are disengaged. They might as well have just told me to go f.... myself if I wasn't satisfied with their response. WWJD.

Randy is great and providing a personal experience and makes me feel important at his business. Even though I have moved to CA I still use him because I have yet to find a more professional and polite CPA.

Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Previously provided a good review, but when I'm wrong, I admit…read moreit... They were friendly, got me in and out in 15 minutes, and made the process easy. However, about a week after they filed my return, I learned about the new overtime tax credit from a friend. When I called H&R about it, they admitted the credit would have increased my refund. But... since it isn't their job to inform people about tax credits, there were now only 2 choices: pay them an additional $209 to fix their mistake (I had already paid them $247 to file the bad return), or, "since it's only $70, just let it go." They added, "This has happened a lot this year, with the new tax changes." Zero accountability and unashamed greed. And who knows how many tax credits I've missed out on over the years because I relied on these "tax professionals" to let me know about them. Their choices suck, so here's my better one: I filed a corrected return on my own, reported them to the IRS, will never go back there, and am warning other good people. Their flyer says, "We stand behind every return we prepare; 100% satisfaction, 100% accuracy, maximum refund." This is a 100% lie. Truth is, asking these over-priced typists to file your taxes is like asking Jiffy Lube to fix your squishy brake pedal. As the other reviewer said: Don't. Just don't.
