I was giving myself grief about not writing a review of Optimum DPT immediately after my sessions…read moreended, but I'm glad I waited. Not only did I feel better after my time with Dr. Gaunt, but months after my therapy, I'm still feeling wonderful. I spent a couple of years hurting, wanting to stay physically active, but being restricted because of back pain. I discussed my issues with my primary doctor and my pain management physician. I scheduled steroid injections. I spent time doing physical therapy. Then, I found Dr. Gaunt. Hands down, one of the best decisions I've made regarding my health. Using several different modalities, Dr. Gaunt, in a professional, personable, thoughtful, organized and educational way, helped me get back to the hiking path, the weight room, the slalom ski, and (unfortunately) house chores. I can't thank Dr. Gaunt enough. He was worth every minute and every dollar.

I will say that Dr. Kuhlman understood quickly where my pain was located based on misalignment he…read moresaw. He clearly knows something. But after months of enduring the casual misogyny of his chit chat (as one example when I said I did some yard work with a wheelbarrow he told me that was a man's job) and no lasting improvement in my pain, I have come to deeply regret the money and time I spent with him. He wants to tell you about his pride in his son way more than he wants to talk about what he sees with your spine and what steps you might take to help heal and prevent further injury. Spines are vulnerable body parts, and ultimately I found I could not trust him with mine because of his lack of compassion & connection. If you want to just crack and go (and endure boorish chit chat) maybe you'd be happy here, but if you want a compassionate clinician who cares holistically about your wellness, look elsewhere.
