There really is a lot of unique jewellery and great locally-sourced items that you need to have a look at, Puddytiger is well worth browsing. What I liked the most was that it doesn't fall into the common trap of New Age stores which seem pretentious and cheesy. Prices aren't too bad either for this type of establishment, so I'd definitely recommend dropping by on any visit to Tynemouth.

I love looking in the window of this jewellers they have so much lovely stuff. They sell loads of gorgeous good quality jewellry, and unlike some of the newer jewellers in South Shields you can tell that their jewellry isn't mass made or cheap looking. The diamonds are clearl and good quality, though the price tags reflect this (but are still reasonable when you consider the quality). If you're looking for a really special piece of jewellry then they are definitely worth a look in. Only in my wildest dreams could I afford some of their pretties, however, if you're not on such a tight budget as me and you appreciate fine jewellry, then I would recommend them!

It is quite small but has a great range of jewellery at a range of prices, mostly very affordable. It sells a range of Hot Diamonds jewellery at greatly discounted prices so is much cheaper than the usual RRP. I've always found the staff there to be very pleasant and helpful. Because it is situated in a retail outlet centre it is in amongst a host of other shops and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. There are hundreds of free parking spaces and it is quite easy to get to by bus or by metro (Royal Quays is about a 10min walk from Percy Main Metro Station).
