This is the second time I've gone and they noticed 3 that they biopsied last time. They are very cut happy. My mom goes to a different place and usually has her moles frozen or lasered off and this place likes to cut it all for the biopsy. This was not a new mole, it was there last time I went, so I'm not sure why they wanted to cut it this time. They were very polite though and did not force anything instead obviously everything is up to me, as the patient. When I went to pay, I don't understand insurance. They put it through and said I owed over $100 and when I said that that's much much higher than my deductible they "ran it through a program again" and said it was $80. That's still much higher, but not much I can argue about. Not sure what to do about it.

I think we're all done with filling out paper forms with repetitive fields by now! I walked in, was greeted and then checked in with the receptionist. Within a few minutes, Chivante, the Medical Assistant, came out and brought me into the examination room, followed by Allison Sammons, the dermatologist. Both were very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and prompt. Allison was exceptionally thorough and gentle. I left with such a great impression of this place and the staff. Found Dr Obed due to his great reviews and on the very first visit I could see why. Dr Obed could see the issue I had and immediately had solutions. But the best part is he wanted to attack the problem conservatively starting with a facial wash and a daily cream. My rosacea is severe so we have had to go more aggressive, but I really appreciate the steady approach. Bedside manner is great and the staff are all awesome. Always friendly and welcoming. The lady at the front desk is a saint, I have seen her calmly and nicely handle some more difficult patients.

I came in for a consultation to discuss a full-body scan and possibly Botox for TMJ, but instead of a professional and supportive conversation, I was met with judgment and rudeness. She told me my face looked "messed up" from prior Botox injections, saying it was "too many units." Regardless of her opinion, there is a far more respectful and constructive way to communicate that kind of feedback. She was also very pushy about sunscreen something I'm already aware I need to be better about but again, the delivery felt more lecturing than helpful. To make matters worse, when it came to areas that needed a biopsy, she did not take the time to discuss it with me before pulling out a numbing needle and preparing to proceed without my consent. I expected a consultation where I could openly discuss my concerns and options, but instead I left feeling judged, uncomfortable, and unheard. Respect, communication, and patient consent are basic expectations, and unfortunately, they were not met here.
