I've always baulked at the set menus thinking, 'I can eat whatever I want so why have someone choose the meals for me?' Aha. It's like having your own personal shopper for the taste-buds, that's why. The set meal for two that we choose, (there are two options), is spare ribs with Peking sauce, sweet and sour pork Cantonese style, chicken with satay sauce, large fried rice and prawn crackers. Some meat on the bone, some sweet and sour meat and something meat in peanut sauce. That's a variety that I wouldn't have chosen left to my own devices. Tasty it was, too. You might also want to try the set meal option where they offer it in balti houses too. The added bonus is that is also means that you don't have the embarrassment of ordering rice with a biryani, for example.

The booking process was easy and if we had any questions Matt came back with an answer straight away, the day of the BBQ there was plenty of delicious meats, salads and bread rolls and we could have fed another 20 people. Matt's attitude and customer service was second to none, really attentive and could not do enough for us, and would not accept any help when it came to clearing everything away. As well as the usual classic variations of baltis, there is a diverse menu of specialties, including my usual order of South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken. A novel touch is that Masala Works have a Healthy Eating menu too, with low-fat dishes including vegetable, chicken and even Quorn options. They are made as healthy as possible by using ingredients like low-fat yoghurt and olive oil. They do it so well i think they will be there another million years. Friendly couple in there told me some of the history of the place when i went in, but my eye were fixated on that spit roast spinning behind him. "I damn care about your history bro" i thought to myself, all i wanted that that perfect pork sandwich i know they can create. The place is cheap and the sandwiches are fat as hell.
