After months of discussions, he ultimately told us at the last minute that we had no case. What was particularly frustrating was the lack of follow-through. We discussed important facts and issues with him repeatedly, but when it came time to act on those discussions, the answers and recollection seemed to change, and everything was done at the very last minute. Justin always seemed too busy to remember the details of our case, but billed us for every second along the way. Based on our experience, I would steer clear of Johnson May and Justin May, particularly if you are an individual paying legal fees out of pocket. Justin was extremely disappointing in representing us. His services were expensive, much of the work was done at the last minute, and he repeatedly failed to remember details that had been shared with him over and over. His service fell far short of the quality of legal representation I would expect from a firm that presents itself as a large, sophisticated law firm.

I put it off simply because I didn't know what to do and I basically felt paralyzed. Long story short, I made an appointment for a consultation, figuring I couldn't qualify but maybe they could recommend another option. The attorney Janine, completely put our fears to rest. We qualified despite the issues that I thought would disqualify us. It wasn't a stress free process by any means but the attorney and the paralegals guided us every step of the way and helped us understand what to expect each step of the process. My only additional advice would be, to do the steps as quick as you can. There's lots of info they need and the longer it takes you to get it all gathered, the longer it drags out. I was called this afternoon and told the initial start, conversation with Sarah was $275.00 then it went to a team to research, off to a second team for more research. Out of $900.00 I'm getting $275.00 back. They claim rest is fees for work they did. WTH. I never saw any work from them. One thing is I asked her to retrieve the items granted to me in the divorce which the ex took to Calif. with him. There were only 3 items but since the Attorney for opposing counsel said that the ex didn't have one of the items, Katie told me to drop it. If the ex didn't have the item he had the chance in court to say it but he didn't. This total was $815 for all 3. Katie told me not to ask for it and that was her recommendation. I didn't get to dispute the fact that I had to give my husband half of a bank account that didn't even exist with $3800.00 in it. I told her the ex was lying about the item and he did have it. Katie also wouldn't file a motion to claim all my expenses that I paid for on the properties that my ex claimed half of, yet I supported them by myself when they were vacant, paying all mortgages, HOA fees, utilities and repairs. I wanted the ex to pay his share and I worked on it for weeks to give her the payments for 3 years all separated into 34 folders. She received them from me but still wouldn't file the motion and then told me she couldn't represent me anymore because I wouldn't do what she said about the 3 property items. UNBELIEVBLE! These Attorneys are all so arrogant and think they know everything, but then they won't even listen to what you want or deserve. She left me hanging now with a difficult situation and it will be hard to find a new Attorney to take this case of 3 years on now at this stage. Thanks a lot Katie!!! Stan Welsh I feel unethically represented me. He may know probate and estate planning but he does…read morenot appear to be specialized in working for beneficiaries of the estate. I inherited one residential property and co-ownership of investment property. PR's attorney Aaron Seable and Stan Welsh did not hold PR accountable to the will, or to the PR's fiduciary duties. 8 months of paying Stan to forward messages sent by PR and Aaron Seable, with no records of accounting, current appraisals or release of deeds, or income from the estate all of the duty of the PR. Stan would forward emails and say he did not review but to give comment on material provided. Then would I would reply with the material still did not provide proof of accounting, appraisal, or still was not releasing my inherited shares and items. Stan would then question and almost rage bait why I would ask or need these things. It appeared to me that Stan worked for the PR as well as Aaron Seable. PR destroyed personal willed items to me and Stan said there was nothing I could do about it unless I went civil. Stan did nothing in the interest of the beneficiary and complicated a very black and white will, and kept referencing PR's actions are civil and would have to do after probate. None of this was true, and if he was in the interest of what he was paid for he would have removed the PR through the courts. I have legal rights to records of income property and the release of the income. Stan often made me feel as if these requests were unreasonable and out of my rights. I would not recommend Stan for any legal advise and he openly admitted he did not research most of my rights on this. I would run if the opposing attorney is Aaron Seable. They appear to work together on their communication but in the interest of the estate
