Whenever Tim asks for help from our students, I agree to providing as much help as we can, because I know that the project he has taken on will make a huge difference in the clients' lives. I definitely had a mixed experience getting my office doors installed. The quote came in higher…read morethan I was expecting. Adam explained that french doors are expensive and heavy, so he would need two guys to do the install. He quoted a week out. It took two weeks for the doors to arrive. I'm sure this was out of his control. Another week for him to come and install them. He said he was working on other jobs and then hurt his knee. Understandable. When he came to install the doors he showed up alone. He said his guys were tied up on another job so he might not finish that day. I thought I was paying for two guys? Anyways, he did get the doors installed that day by himself. He was very nice. I work at home, so I had to be there all day. He did a good job installing them. At the end of the day he explained to me that the door manufacturer had done a terrible job priming the doors, so I would have to sand them before I did a final paint job. Wait, I have to paint the doors for you? I thought I was paying for a complete job... I spent the entire next day getting paint matched and meticulously painting the doors, casing, trim, and surrounding drywall myself. Lucky I know how to do that I guess. Like I said it was a mixed experience. Adam was pleasant to communicate with. He was pretty good at communicating the day before and the day of by text and email. The price he quoted me was the price I was billed. So there were a couple of positives. I just don't plan on getting any more work done by this company.

He came out I believe that night and provided me with an estimate the next day. I decided to go with the estimate that he provided to me. He came out the following day to start the project - he put in the contract that from start to finish the job would take 5-7 days start to finish. When he came out to work on the project it was very sporadic, I had no idea what I was going to come home to and what would be done. The estimate was provided on 5/13 - he did not complete the project until 6/25! Of course there are many more details between like me trying to e-mail to get a timeline, etc. At one point when he told me he was getting called out on business and it was going to be another week, I became very upset - I was not having any more patience with this process. I told him that I would hire someone else to finish the job and I was not going to give him the remaining money that I owed (per his contract I owed 1/3 at the contract agreement, 1/3 at the start of the project, and 1/3 at the end) I actually had given him more money the second time because he asked for a "favor" and wanted more - and I was stupid and gave it to him. After all the headache, Scott McNeill agreed to come out and finally finish what he promised a month ago with the understanding he was not going to get the remaining monies. WELL, low and behold he starts sending me rude e-mails and invoices for an amount of money that I owe him. Really, I should be taking this guy to court to get all my money back. The job was done terribly, the concrete work is crumbling on the corners, and the "repairs" were not done, I still have large cracks in my garage. I have made complaints to the BBB (which he never responded to them) and to the DATCP. I would STRONGLY encourage people to do their research before choosing to do business with Scott McNeill.
