The room had a musty smell to it. It lacked lighting in the area by the desk and TV area, which was problematic. The bathroom handle broke off, which impacted the ability to close the door. Amenities were good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. read more

Every day we have been here we have had to basically fight to get towels and washcloths. You get on small towel per person per day and you have to exchange your dirty towel for a new one. You get one small bathmat for your entire stay. For us it was 4 people for 5 days. I could understand if they were luxury towels but they're small scratchy towels. Not really worth fighting for. The beds are all elevated see basically have to run and jump to get in them and the toilets I swear they got at a children's store cuz they are so small and so low to the ground. My other complaint was, I asked if they had a handicap roll as I am handicapped and they said they did not. We are next to the handicap room with a ramp and everything and it is unoccupied and has been unoccupied the whole time that we've been here. My mother and I stay here 4-5 times a year. The management is always professional and very accommodating. Our rooms are always clean, as are the grounds of the motel. Very quiet atmosphere despite its location on a major route. We love staying here, as the rates are reasonable, the place is clean and quiet, and the staff is SO nice! read more

The beds are comfortable and the place is clean. BUT in summer you need AC, and the AC is brutally loud and cycles on and off all night. We didn't get a good sleep. The staff on checkin was a little confused about the process, but I chalk that up to staff shortages due to Covid. read more

This is the third hotel I have stayed at in Orleans Massachusetts and for the price it was totally shabby. The manager was very disrespectful, I requested more towels and got attitude over it. In the end I was handed a few wash cloths for my troubles and when I requested a late check-out he was extremely rude and just said "NO." The room was way over priced for what we got. The bathtub still had other people's hair in it when we checked in, the pool was full of bugs, slime, hair and leaves and the towels we're all stained and horrible. I recommend if your going to stay in the Orleans Eastham area you avoid this roach motel at all costs. read more

The people who run this modest priced motel on Cape Cod are extremely nice. The entire place from parking lot to breakfast room, poolside and rooms were immaculately clean, fresh painted and comfortable. Cape Cod can be very pricey in the summer and you don't always get your money's worth. This motel is an excellent value and was a pleasure to come back to after full days on the beach bicycling, day trip to P'town, museums and restaurants all nearby! read more

If you are not a hotel snob and you are looking for a super clean, comfortable, simple, nothing fancy room with a friendly staff and a great pool this is the place for you. This hotel is taking every covid precaution to make us feel safe (no housekeeping or breakfast right now etc ). Our room was spacious, it was clean. The beds are on the firm side, the ac is ice cold and the shower gets good and hot. The pool is huge and crystal clear. I have zero complaints and if I had to come up with one I guess the pillows are a little lumpy. We will be back for sure....Walking distance to great sea food and ice cream, Gift shops, grocery stores and mini golf. After reading what many people thought was a decent stay, some going as far to say excellent, I booked this room for 2 nights. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The manager was dismissive when I let him know the bath was not draining and the tub was filthy. He basically told me "that's how tubs work". The beds are uncomfortable, the linens are old and stained, there is really nothing redeeming about this hotel, and the managers unapologetic attitude made the experience that much worse. This place deserves a 4 star rating. Not for fanciness or trendiness. For VALUE. This is what I look for in a motel- clean, comfortable, and fair prices. Rodeway Inn (not Roadway) in Orleans offers some great benefits. For one, it is less than a mile from Rt. 6, Cape Cod's main artery. You just drive right down to the rotary (we call them traffic circles here), and hop on 6 to either Provincetown or Hyannis direction. The inn is only feet from the Rt. 28 split, where you can take Rt. 28 down to Chatham etc. So the location is great. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was clean and comfortable too. We slept well, so the mattress was decent. The couple who ran the place was friendly and helpful too. We spent an enjoyable 4 days there, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. If you want fancy, go somewhere else. If you want great value, go here. read more

Lets start with the good points - the hotel staff was pleasant and welcoming. They have what looked like a very nice outdoor pool, although we didn't have time to enjoy it. Everything in the room worked. This one one of only a few accommodations available that my wife and I could get a reservation at that wasn't either a minimum 3-night stay or over $400/night. So I give them top marks for all of that. The WiFi was really good - I could actually stream a movie on my phone - no buffering! However, there were a couple of things that I noticed about this place that really need to be addressed for them to move beyond my two-star rating. First, they need to do something about the "dank", musty smell in the room. It was almost unbearable, but we dealt with it, because at that point it is what it is. Also, this is one of those older properties that has chosen to combat the effects of age with paint. Lots and lots of paint. Everything had that "cover the issue with paint" approach, which I suppose works for the short term, but after a while you wonder how much structure is left under the paint. If the owners want to get a higher rating, or charge more in-season, they could, but they'd need to address these issues first. Overall, our brief one-night stay was pleasant. read more

Great price for a great room. Was not the Taj Mahal but the service was great and the bed was comfortable.

My husband & I recently stayed at this hotel. I thought the owners were very nice and the room was clean. The sink, hair dryer and mirror are located outside the bathroom, which was nice as I could use it getting ready. The hair dryer was ok, but wouldn't shut off. The bed was a bit hard for my liking and I thought the towels and wash cloths were pretty shabby. Very thin and worn. They definitely needed to be replaced. Some parts of the exterior of the hotel also need to be repainted. There is no elevator so if you can't do stairs request a first floor room. The outdoor pool seemed clean, although we did not use it. read more

Stayed here two weeks ago for three nights for a friends wedding. Obviously the place is slightly cheaper than other options but it was not really worth the smell, the carpets, the old furniture etc. It is not THAT much less expensive on the cape and it is pretty gross. We stayed there for one night and I have to say I was slightly nervous based on past reviews I had read. We took a chance and upon arrival, the owner was very pleasant and the grounds seemed cleaner and well maintained than I had expected. Going in knowing it was an older motel, the room we stayed in was outdated but clean. They even had a flat screen TV and mini fridge which I didn't expect. The beds were actually comfortable and clean (yes, I did search for bed bugs because I'm crazy like that) It's a good spot for one or two nights but only if you go in knowing it's an older, outdated motel where the management has tried to update and paint as possible. read more

Arrived at this hotel yesterday. We explained to the manager that I had two foot surgeries and requested a room on the first floor. There was no rooms available so we ended up on the second floor. There's no elevator so I had some issues with the stairs. After breakfast this morning my husband went to see if we could move to a room on the first floor. Manager would not accept my request. First of all there's ADA laws and secondly there were empty rooms waiting to be cleaned. People have not checked in yet. That would have been a no brained. Would NOT recommend anyone to stay here. read more

This is an old school motel, but it delivers. The staff are courteous and accommodating. Even in season they are reasonably priced and work to get last minute reservations booked if at all possible. The pool is clean and inviting and the place is well kept up. You can walk to a number of seafood restaurants and stores, as well as the Cottage Street Bakery, probably the Cape's best. Nauset Beach is only a 15 minute drive away. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find reasonably priced, family friendly accommodations on the Cape, but Rodeway remains value oriented. read more

Stayed here 8.11.15, booked queen roon , got two doubles, toilet broken on two occasions , repaired after second try.Overall , staff was helpful, room clean, close to best beach on east coast and Rt 6. For the value it was worth it and I'll be back. read more

We stayed here during the off season, the weekend after Thanksgiving. While we got a good price for 2 adjoining rooms for a 2 night stay and the staff was friendly; we found the rooms to be very dusty, and dirty as if they hadn't been cleaned in a very long while. All of us were sneezing all night and when we asked if there were different rooms available, we were told that all the other adjoining rooms were occupied. We will never stay here again. read more
