Even though i saw the previous reviews and was advised to cancel my reservation I didn't. I was very pleased with the room clean, ample supplies, everything worked, fridge, microwave, tv etc. shower was a dream plenty of hot water and pressure too. If I could give a negative number as a review, I would. Floors: filthy Room: Stunk. I spend $40 in cleaning supplies to try remove some of the odor. Furniture: Beat up, banged up of no practical use to the room. Bathroom: Shower falling apart. The water was hot though. Guests: TONS of long/permanent stay people that had cooking grills and furniture on the sidewalk. Smoking weed and drinking from a bottle and I don't mean a baby bottle. They were courteous, though. Parking: Dismal. With so many long stay tenants and their friends, there as little room for guests. Grassy area was littered with dog feces. Over a 4 day stay, I watched 6 people with multiple dogs let them poop on the grass and them not pick it up. There was a poop bag stand and a trash can for them to dispose of it in and they did not use it. I accidentally left my DL at the front desk on check in and walked off without it. I did not miss it until I got home 5 days later. They could have picked up the phone and called my room to let me know but did not. I called about it when I got home and was assured that it would be mailed to me the following day. I called in two days, and it still had not been mailed. When I expressed the importance of mailing it to me, I was told "with your attitude, I don't know when it will be mailed". I have made a formal complaint with corporate and will be contacting the property manager tomorrow. I won't go back and HIGHLY recommend others look elsewhere for lodging. read more

This is was a horrible motel. Room wasn't cleaned on our stay. Had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper. Breakfast was a top ramen, cereal and you had to ask for milk, coffee and waffles. It smelled of sewage outside. No working pool. AC didn't work properly. I dont know how it got a 3 star rating. Would not recommend. A lot of homeless hanging around. Not a good part of town. No phone to get a hold of front desk either. read more

I'm so sorry to give this place one star but I can't in good conscience do any better. We needed a place to spend the night before moving to our apartment in CO after moving from out of State. This is pretty much the only pet friendly place in the area... Not being able to wait to get out of there is putting it mildly. I have two kids. One of them's not one yet and is crawling. The other one loves going barefoot so I cringed when I saw her feet (I'll attach a picture for your reference) after walking on that carpet for half an hour. Please, keep in mind this is a tiny bedroom. Basically the size you need for two queen beds and a bathroom so there's not that much carpet to clean. That carpet hasn't been shampooed in months. At night I discovered the remote didn't have a battery cover and the batteries were just held inside the remote by a piece of tape. The AC started leaking on my baby's pack and play mattress. The shower has a retarded design and there were dogs barking, kids playing outside and people talking at their doors way past 11pm. I couldn't sleep at all and then in the morning I saw some weird spots on the bedskirt... I was just so glad we could leave. It's not in a great part of town and I had read bad reviews but I didn't think it could be THAT bad. It is that bad. As bad as people renting rooms and burning gasoline on their front doors to make a firepit. And it wasn't cheap either. Staying there with the $10 fee per cat was a total of $100. If you have $100 to spare, stay somewhere else. read more

This establishment is now fully thriving, once again, and it's 100% due to the phenomenal GM who is there now, one Mike Ivarson. After a thoroughly repugnant experience last year, I vowed never to return (well, eventually, to tell my story), and Mike graciously pulled our records from that visit, to peruse that stays issues for me. He indicated that this had been a transient incident, caused by two lackluster individuals, and I was informed that they had both been hastily terminated, for similar consumer complaints. We found this to be very refreshing, having had enjoyed every single stay there, prior to the one in question. We didn't want our money back, that wasn't the issue for us, we simply wanted to know why the quality of this particular location had declined to the point of causing us to not wish to return. I had waited a long time before finally deciding to give them an opportunity to explain what had happened, and I was fortunate enough to find Mike Ivarson competently manning the front desk. Long story short, Mike completely amended our situation, and he did so with the dignity & respect that we had come to associate with the Evans' Rodeway Inn locale. Mike Ivarson just got our business back, and he is to be thoroughly commended as the professional asset that he is, to this corporation. The worst experience at a hotel ever! I would give this a 0 if it would let me. The Tv didn't work, The phone didn't work, The toilet seat was broken. The place stunk so bad even in a non smoking room. The fan was coming out of the wall, and the air conditioner was not working. I reported it but no one really cared. Never again! I will pay extra to avoid this place. I Flies everywhere. Cigarette burns in bedding.Yuck! It is scary! read more

Do not book here!! When i called to book the room, i asked if they were pet friendly, the answer was yes, i asked if there was a charge for the pets, the answer was no, after paying for the room ( I paid $80 for this room) i get a call to come back to the front desk, i was told there would be pet fee of $10 power dog ( i have 2) which i was fine with, but then i get rid of they had any accidents or excessive fur that i would be charged $275!!!! , granted the room was clean, smelled nice upon entering, but when i went to turn the air on, the entire room was filled with the odor of marijuana... It was so bad i couldn't breathe!! I called the front desk and asked to be moved to another room, the woman was very condescending about it and said she would, when i got to the new room, damn if the skunk odor wasn't twice as strong!!! This time i walked in to the front office, told her about the second room and she said "you're not getting a refund, you can deal with it or leave" Really???? So now im out $80 and sleeping in my car...DO NOT EVER BOOK HERE!!!!! read more

Some of the worst consumer service I have ever experienced in my life. The maids were extremely rude also The manager was completely rude. I was there for a month and about a week into the stay we all had bumps all over turns out they are bed bugs. I've stayed in hotels in Detroit that are better than the rodeway. Gave it a one star only cause Joanna she is such a professional.....But beware housekeeping will try to charge you for bogus things.... The heat didn't work went out and got a space heater. Washcloths and Two pillows...the manager discounted rate cause I got a space heater... I checked out and look on my account and they charged me 35 for 2 pillows... that I got from Walmart. Then called the manager and they said cause I borrowed two pillows ..housekeeping so sorry they don't even bring u towels when u ask for them.. like they really would let your get two extra pillows... use caution when using your credit card here. I didn't even use the credit card that they charged for this stay.... they had to get my credit card number from another time I checked in... now I will have over draft charges because of this...
