This isn't a 5 star Hotel. That's fine. I wasn't looking for an expensive 5 star hotel. I was just looking for something reasonably priced to simply lay my head down for the night, after a concert at the Metlife stadium, which is only about a 15 min drive away. I've just read some of the reviews on here. A lot of them sound awful. It's probably a good thing I didn't see them before I booked our room for the night, because I may have paused, and looked else where, but to be fair, none of them look current. So, even though I'm sure they're valid, I can only tell you about about my stay. I'm glad to say that we had a very positive experience, and as long as you aren't going into this expecting "The Marriott or The Hilton" then you probably will, too. This place definitely has a dated look but the lobby and the halls were clean, as was our room. So no complaints there. We had one room with two queen size beds. Which were comfortable and bed bug free. (very important. haha) Also had a mini fridge, a microwave, cable tv, Etc. Maybe there is wifi, maybe not? I have no clue. I didn't even bother to inquire. I didn't need it. My cell phone works just fine. The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast the next morning was good. You literally could have gorged yourself on the free breakfast of apples, cereal, bagels, cream cheese, butter, jellies, and jams. Also, I appreciate how super fresh the bagels were. It was good. No complaints whatsoever. Also the location of the hotel is in a nice area. I've been to some sketchy places before, fortunately this aint one of em. We definitely felt very safe and secure here. The price split between two people was fantastic in my opinion. If I were ever going to, Metlife Stadium again, or even NYC, since you aren't very far from the city, this would be one of the first places I'd look to see if there were any vacancies available. I'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone on a budget. That would be "Cheap Folks", like myself; Ya gotta save money where ya can, riiight? And I'd be more than happy to stay here any time. So, I'm going with 4 stars, which seems like a pretty respectable score to me.

Worst hotel stay. My entire room smelled like cigarettes and I hate that smell. Looks like repairs need to be made but has been pushed off for quite sometime. $100 for one day? I definitely need my money back for this roach motel. Will never come back .

No shower curtain and the owner never offered after we notified him.

This review is actually for 0 stars. This place will not be in business in the future because the owner has no thoughts of improving the service or the quality of the hotel repairs. They were missing the shower curtain and the bedsheets had two holes from cigarette burns so we immediately took a picture and showed him that way the owner (the Indian man) will not charge us for those damages. We showed him the pictures and said not to charge us since they were there when we came in. Instead of apologizing for the mess and offering the shower curtain, not even a room change, just offer us the curtain and maybe some new sheets, he just said "ok, I won't charge". So we showered without curtains. He also told my dad "next time go to a 5 star hotel and don't come back here because then I'll be happy". First off, you don't need to be a 5 star to have basics ready. If you want to be a motel, remove yourself from all hotel websites. And this is a 0 star hotel that is priced at $100ish per night. Don't recommend coming here but this was our last resort. The owner (the Indian man) is so rude and does not have basic customer service to be in the hospitality industry obviously. He also takes customers out of order. My dad was next in line and he helped the customer behind him. What kind of service is that? Unprofessional is an understatement. If he's like that, the whole staff has no one better to learn from. Don't come here, it's already in its rotting stage.

This is the pic of one of the bed bugs on my husband's pillow then more started appearing.

This place is too good! It's a convenient travel from New York City- very important for tourists with no car. It's a direct bus from port authority bus terminal. And on Hotwire for my last minute booking I got a really good price of $100. The breakfast had lesser options but I have had worse in other places. The towels, sheets, carpet, hallway everything is spotless. I didn't stay more than 12 hours so I don't know about their room service etc. but I'd definitely come here again.

I decided to book a room at this nearby hotel during my last night in NJ. The good: - Felix at the front desk is very friendly, in great spirits, and super helpful. - The room was very clean and provided 2 free bottles of water. - The common area upon walking in had a lot of seating with comfortable furniture. - It's next to a big, beautiful park which is great for long walks or runs. - There's a movie theatre across the street. - Plenty of parking. - Easy access to I-95. The bad: - The room could use some updating. - The dressers bottom drawer kept opening even after pushing it back closed. - The room was humid. - The hair conditioner bottle top/pump was broken so I couldn't use it. - In the middle of the night I turned on the light to go to the bathroom and saw a huge centipede on the wall scurrying to hide in the baseboard which was separating from the wall. It continued to hide behind the bed. I hate bugs and know centipedes don't like light... so I literally slept with a light on from fear that I'd wake up to this enormous bug crawling on me. - The rates are expensive for what you're getting. Yes, I could have called and complained about the hair conditioner and the centipede. Maybe they would have switched my room. But I had my own shampoo and conditioner packed and it was the middle of the night and I had my PJs on. I didn't feel like switching rooms at that point. If I stayed here again it would be because of the great service and welcome at the front desk and because of the park.

This would have been a 5- star experience if a few things had been different. First of all, the…read moreshower was impossibly loud, and the water was split about 50/50 between the shower and tap (= weak water pressure and flooding in the tub). The water from the tap for the bathroom sink sprayed quite a bit and it was hard to get the water temp just right. The location of the room at the neck of the ground floor wing meant frequent noise from the ice machine and people talking and laughing while using the machine all hours of the early morning. To top it off, the heater/AC was operating on the outdoor thermostat, so it was either too hot or too chilly throughout the night. Several things I liked include cleanliness of the room, good noise cancelation despite being right next to a massive highway, a mini fridge, extra blankets, and a good mattress. Parking wasn't an issue for a weeknight stay. Exiting the parking lot into the highway took a good 2-3 minutes even on this weekday mid-morning, because of the constant flow of traffic from the offramp.

Sure, getting into the parking lot is a little tricky depending on what time of day you are driving in but being connected to the Hampton Corporation we are sure they will work this out in due time. The parking lot was well lit, clean and had ample parking for the duration of our stay. The lobby was pleasant, comfortable, cozy and smelled great. There were plenty of spaces for us to sit in small groups and chat amongst ourselves without disturbing others who were doing the same. The establishment was clean from top to bottom and there was plenty evidence of their efforts to maintain that cleanliness! So no complaints here. The food was good and received a thumbs up from our grandchildren who can be some picky eaters. The only snafu came with a misquoted rate for one of the days but once we got in touch with the manager he readily agreed to correct the misunderstanding which we expect to happen in the next few days. So compared to some of those old reviews on this site, congratulations have to be given to these folks for upgrading the level of their services!

The customer service at this motel was the absolute worst in the country. My daughter left her toiletry bag in the room when we left. Having left the area, we called and asked them to hold the bag for a UPS pick up. It took 3 calls to get an email address to send the UPS electronic label to the motel. UPS attempted to pick up the bag but couldn't because themotel staff refused to place the bag in a box. We then had a friend in the area go to the motel to retrieve the bag. The staff was refusing to release the bag without a copy of my friend's driver's license. She had no problem showing them her ID but with identify theft booming these days she did not see a need for them to keep a copy of her license. My daughter and I had made multiple calls to the motel over the past week trying to resolve this issue so they knew our voices and phone numbers. Even though we gave verbal authorization for them to give the bag to our friend, they continued to make the situation more difficult than necessary. It took threats of calling the police to get the bag released. Im not sure if it was their lack of ability to speak and comprehend the English language or just their lack of customer service training, but I would avoid this place at all costs.
