And I still am in most cases, but John and Camra at Interstate Insurance found me decades ago, luckily for me and my family. Their help in finding and maintaining insurance coverage for cars and home is invaluable. Like another poster here, I have been shown new ways to protect myself and family, and they keep my account under review to keep my costs as low as possible, my protection lean and in line with my needs. Another unique service they have provided is that, when I tell them I want a change in coverage, Camra or John will caution me and even contradict me where I may ignorant of a misstep. Imagine the courage and commitment to their clients that it takes to argue with them in their own best interest! Camra and John have consistently saved me money and steered me to the best courses of action time sand again I can't believe I haven't reviewed this business before. They have been steadfast in protecting me and my family longer than any other business in my community. 28 years! I wouldn't think of changing, and cannot recommend Interstate Insurance Agency enough.

This company had our business insurance coverage for nearly 20 years…read more We pulled our personal lines several years ago due to pricing. I should have taken a harder look at the business coverage then. Then Covid hit, and my business was shutdown. No work. No income. Made about half the annual payments. CDF made no visits to my office for over 10 years. They didn't intervene to find savings due to reduced risk with my business being forced to close. Found coverage for 20% off the cost from a small broker in Wenatchee. Go out of Seattle for coverage. Now Liberty Mutual has cheesy law firms calling for payment. Don't do business with L.M. or CDF. This was not due to any fault of mine. It seems the company I was with stopped writing policies for Washington state, but I was NOT NOTIFIED. They said they sent "a postcard," which I did not receive, and i was not contacted by phone or email. I could have been in a major car accident with NO INSURANCE. I am absolutely furious. Obviously, I did not re-up with them and had to pay a lot more to get insurance elsewhere because I had a "policy lapse." This is an incredibly dangerous situation for anyone to fall into because of a crummy company. STAY AWAY.

Our home burned down last year (2015). Like most people, we never thought it would happen to us!…read more Thankfully, Tim had us covered. We were so grateful to him we wrote this letter to his boss: We're writing to share our experience with Farmers Insurance in light of the fire that gutted our home less than two weeks ago. (No pun intended!) For almost 15 years, I have been a client of The Tim Bishop Agency. My husband came aboard about 10 years ago when we purchased our first house together. During that time, we've referred several people to Tim because he's such a top-notch agent and positive representative of Farmers. He is responsive, knowledgeable, professional, friendly and most important - he really cares. Tim has always told me that he provides policies that he would have if he were in our shoes. As I now know, those words couldn't be more important or truer. As someone who doesn't always look closely at the policy details, I've relied on Tim to have our backs. We've had minimal claims over the years and Tim came through with flying colors in our time of tremendous need! Moreover, Tim seems truly passionate about insurance(!) and his clients, which is something one doesn't see every day. Tim's team has always been extremely helpful as well. Their collective follow through has been consistently exceptional and at times above and beyond what's expected - especially Autumn Schwerdfager, Tim's assistant. Case in point: At 5:30PM on Thursday, April 30th, as I watched our home burn, I called Tim's office not really expecting a person to answer. Autumn not only answered but also immediately deployed the troops. Within minutes, I was contacted by several Farmers representatives, including Tim, with offers of support and resources. Suffice it to say, we're utterly grateful to Tim for his diligence and fine service. Thanks to him the process of rebuilding after such a catastrophic loss will be much less arduous. I hope you'll commend Tim for making such a significant impact on our lives!

A completely unreliable agent and overall a terrible experience…read more The worst was that once we signed our contract, he stopped responding to all attempts to contact him, by phone, by email. Before we signed, he had asked us to update him on specific changes to our home that would effect the insurance premium, which we did, BUT HE NEVER RESPONDED TO ANY OF OUR ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT HIM OVER SEVERAL MONTHS! Honestly, we probably should have foreseen this given how sloppy he was with the whole process of getting together all the paperwork for the contract in the first place; like not using the encrypted email system that his company set up in the first place, not knowing which documents he needed us to provide and giving us vague descriptions of what he needed, and losing multiple documents and making us resend them. We cancelled our policy as soon as we could.
