We ordered one of their lunch specials which was a fried pork chop, we ordered a fried catfish plate, lastly i got their Big Cajun. Everything came out quickly, and tasted great. My meal was fried perfectly, the crawfish ettoufee was great, and my sides were delicious. The lunch special that was ordered by her family member didnt have a scrap left when our meal was over. it has been awhile since we have been to Rocky's. We stopped by and took advantage of the drive thru. This was the best addition they made to help stay open during COVID back in 2019. The young lady that greeted us in the window, really set the tone. She was so sweet and professional. She knew the menu and had great suggestions. I usually have their baked potato, but they just ran out by the time we got their. I tried the Chicken Fried Steak sandwich with fries. It was the most tender Chicken Fried Steak I have had in some time. The bun they paired it with worked well. It had lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. I asked for ranch, because the mayo didn't do anything for it. I actually should have asked for their house sauce, I think that would have been even better. Been coming for years and almost always the baked potatoes come warm on the outside but COLD in the inside. Once the fried shrimp had a had between the shrimp and the coating, perhaps the meat shrank away for various reasons. So no potatoes or scrimp for me. The best Crawfish from I ever had. It was a party of 6 and a baby they sat us pretty quick and allowed us a spot quiet for the baby. Drinks were served promptly and waitress Maisey (hope i spelled it correct) was awesome. She was very attentive but not over bearing. 3 had crawfish and man they were delicious and i am not a crawfish lover. The seasoning was perfect and they were big for the price. 2 of us had burgers and they were season well and very good. My son had bonless wings and he didn't like them but he is very very picky. I along with friends met at Rocky's Tails and Shells in Bunkie to have drinks. As we did a few weeks ago where upon we were informed they do have a happy hour from 5 to'7. There were no specifications as to the boundaries in the restaurant this "Happy Hour" was limited to, nor we informed of any limitations by any of the bartenders who were working. Tonight when I was given my tickets and I questioned the owner about the charges she said it was only "Happy Hour" "at the bar". I said we were actually seated in the bar area five steps from the bar, in a booth , in the bar area, and she said rudely , "Really". I told her that should be publicly displayed and how would we know that. For one of my party asked the bartender and these restrictions were not specified. I proceeded to inform my friends of the misconception we had about "Happy Hour" and she followed me and asked if just called her ignorant? I replied, Yes, I did." She said," Get the f..k out my business". I replied that is very unprofessional of a business owner to curse and that she should should advertise her "Happy Hour" policy. She angrily asked,"Where you want me to put that?" Which displays ignorance. I have to beg anyone out of town to go with me to this metal mold shed ( mold on the ceiling by the bar) as it is, anyone can boil crawfish under their metal building without a side of deception and unprofessionalism. read more

I can't believe it. A restaurant in Louisiana selling me old shrimp. Ordered shrimp on a salad, had that old shrimp taste. I was in a hurry, thinking "well, it's been boiled, it's probably okay," so ate it anyway. I was sick that night and much of the next day. I just assumed the shrimp had gotten a bit old before they boiled it, but now I'm wondering if they didn't boil it fresh then leave it in the fridge for a week. I don't like giving negative reviews especially when the food was great. However the service was terrible. We had a larger group which we called ahead days in advance to reserve. Our waitress took orders, brought food and brought checks. Nothing in between. She never came to check if orders were correct or if we needed anything. She never refilled drinks. When dinner was over several wanted dessert but she never asked just brought us the checks. The next part I feel is a bad decision by management. When we received check it was for a certain amount. Upon giving credit card and receiving receipt to sign the amount went up. When I asked about this I was told (very rudely) they have a new credit card vendor and they charge 4% charge for using a credit card. I don't understand why the customer has to absorb this fee because of a restaurant choice to switch vendors. However being ready to go because it took so long for waitress to bring our receipts I just said okay thank you and walked away. I was talking to my mom as were walking out and said "I don't think it's right they pass on that fee to the customer" the waitress then loudly and very rudely said "Well if you had looked there is a sign on the door" I was taken back at how rude she was being I wasn't even speaking to her. I had walked away and was nothing but polite when she explained to me why. This "sign" on the door is about 3 inches x 4 inches and the words are small. Yes it is posted but being dark at entryway and not a sign that stands out it is easily missed. Again food was not a problem it was very good but when your spending that much money with a party of 15+ it sours the whole experience when you have a waitress that is not friendly and does not do the basic tasks of waitressing. read more

Best restaurant boiled crawfish in Louisiana. Always amazed at the number of out of town people I meet who talk about Rocky's crawfish when I mention I'm from Bunkie. Definitely worth the drive. Very family friendly but bring your quarters for the game room. Staff is hospitable. Make reservations for most nights. And always make a reservation if you want to dine at one of the specially made crawfish tables. You don't need a special table to order the crawfish - but it does make it a little more fun! read more

I order catered menus from them fairly often. Lasagna and chicken fettuccine are always delicious! And the service for catering is outstanding. They even help me carry it to my car and load it for me. As an individual customer, you can't beat the loaded baked potatoes with any of the additional toppings (brisket, etoufee, chilli, etc...) I've had them all and all were excellent. Chips and salsa are spot on! Prices are good, food is excellent. I eat there at least once or twice a week and could go more.
