Dumb Yelp! does NOT have a category for "disability" OR "Social Security." but that is Mr. Dawson's…read morespecialty. Mr. Dawson, a former Social Security Administrative Judge, is experienced, hard-working, and compassionate. He stuck with me and held my hand through the entire terrifying, nerve-wracking process (I am a widow and these benefits are half my income). My first hearing was unsuccessful. SSA LOST 80% of my medical records and got the dates on my application reversed so it looked like I applied and a year later, I was struck blind. No. I was struck blind (retinal tears) tried every medical intervention possible (3 surgeries, among other things) and finally realized this was not getting better and applied for benefits. Once Mr. Dawson corrected those errors, we were successful! His assistant, Katherine Morris was remarkably organized, never dropped a stitch and responded promptly and with great kindness. I can not recommend this firm highly enough.

I had to take Social Security Disability benefits after I was unable to ever return to work full time. Long before going to bat for me I had stayed in contact with Will for help with the process and he even gave me the local Social Security phone number to start the process a full three years before I had to hire him after several denials despite the Social Security Administration being given all my records for injury from four different doctors that had examined me. Mr. Dawson was able to direct me through the entire process so that we could go to the Administrative Law Judge for Social Security and have the information required supporting my case. We did win the case after the final hearing but despite that the Social Security Administration refused to pay most of the back pay from the first two full years (minus the first 5 months) due to some clerical error. Before I could even call him about the error, Mr. Dawson had already put in an appeal in order to get that order corrected so the opportunity was not lost in order to get my full benefits to help me try to recover from a traumatic time in my life. He bent over backwards a second time for me. I can only give Mr. Dawson five stars for all his help during this whole process even though he went well beyond the call of duty for me. I would recommend him to anyone who is attempting to receive or needs help obtaining Social Security benefits for disability. EOM

This guy knows more about Workers Comp law than anyone else, and he explains things really well…read more Even my husband understood, and he works for CDOT. Seriously, if you get hurt at work or if you get an Occupational Disease*, get a lawyer or you'll get screwed. Plus, you really don't want to handle all the massive paperwork yourself. This lawyer is awesome! John Sbarbaro got great results for my husband, and he's a super-nice guy, too. His front office staff are pretty on top of it, even though it might seem like they're blowing you off sometimes when you leave them messages and wish they'd just pick up the phone, be nice and wait your turn like we all learned in kindergarten, haha. And if you're not used to driving in Downtown Denver, be sure to check Waze when you plan your route. Bring change for the meters in case parking is scarce - usually you're fine but hey, it's Denver, always an adventure. ;-p *Lots of employers like to ignore OSHA when it comes to Occupational Disease, and take no steps to protect you. Be aware! Your sore throat/cough could be cancer or silicosis, and your hand falling asleep could actually be hand arm vibration syndrome, thoracic syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, or any combination thereof.

Talk about unprofessional! I met with Peter Mcquire and hired him to help me apply for disability…read more He informed me that they would help me fill out the application in about a week and setup the phone appointment. I gathered all the information and documents they requested to have ready for the phone application appointment. However, his paralegal, informed me that there was something wrong with the online system as it was saying that my information was not valid. She was rude on the phone and told me that I needed to call the social security office to find out what the problem was and that we would have to reschedule. I called both the local and federal disability offices and was informed that she must have been entering my information incorrectly as everything was correct in the system. I then called the paralegal to tell her what I had learned and to get rescheduled. She told me that the social security office didn't know what they were talking about and that she was going to mail me a hard copy version of the application. However, she did not even tell me what to do with it or schedule a time to help me fill it out. Again she was rude, short, and annoyed sounding that I asked 1 question. I then went online to see if what social security was correct, which they were. I was able to login to apply for disability as myself and/or as a third party helping me. There was no problem with my information or the computer system for the application. I then called the paralegal back and left a voicemail stating that I was able to login without a problem and would like to be rescheduled to actually fill out the application. She NEVER even bothered to return my call. The following week I left a second voicemail, this time with the lawyer directly explaining the situation and asking to be rescheduled to complete my application. Again I NEVER received a call back. I waited another week and left a second voicemail for Mr. McQuire inquiring if he was actually going to help me apply disability or if I should find a new lawyer as it had been a month and a half at this point and I couldn't even get anyone at his firm to return any of my calls or schedule me to complete the disability application. I finally had to call and ask the receptionist if I needed to fire him in writing as he had me sign a contract and refused to even return any of my calls. She was unsympathetic to my situation and said that she would ask the lawyer and get back to me. Not 5 minutes later she called back saying that she had talked to the lawyer and that I did not have to fire him in writing as they had not submitted anything to social security on my behalf. Apparently, the lawyer can answer and return calls in minutes when he wants to. Because of this firm and their complete lack of integrity, honesty, compassion professionalism and competence, my application process has been postponed for 2 months. This is 2 months waisted that I have not and will not have an income or even a pending disability application and now I am back to square one having to find another disability lawyer. Whatever you do DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER OR LAW FIRM!
