But as I watched him walk to the front doors, I knew my lifve would never be the same. This first day at school was horrible for my little tater tot. As soon as he entered the school, he was snatched from his friends by a women who goes by Amy Hamiltion. This women exerts her control over the 6th grade class with a iron fist, a iron fist that she then uses to smash down their indiviuality. When my beloved little boo tried to make a good impression on his first day by trying to be himself, a women by the name of Erika Patino said that no, he couldn't wear a speedo in the building. He also is not allowed to hug random people in the building. As has been mentioned in several other reviews, Mrs. Patino does happen to play a cowbell with such gusto that she nearly blew out my widdle boy's ear drums. It doesnt end there. As a single mom at the age of 25, I was judged by many teachers who thought I was his sister. They even tried to pretend I was a student to fuel their endless gaslighting agendas. Because I am unemployed, I couldn';t give my son a nice homeade lunch. At his first day of school, he bit into a breaded chicken sandwhich-better described at roadkill. He was diagnosed with food poisining, simply because it was raw. That day, I pulled hm from the public school system and now he is homeschooled by yours truly, when I have a break from pouring over the bills. This school is the main reason that I have issues with depression. I was bullied to the point of…read moredaily self harm. I was told to kill myself by other children for my weight, and appearance. I was called fat, ugly, worthless, you name it. I was a very kind, and loving kid, and did nothing to hurt anyone, but I was treated with absolute hatred. Kids even made a club called the "I hate Jessica club" to follow me around and bully me. What do you think the teachers did when they witnessed these things being done to me? Not a single thing. I can recall several instances of teachers watching kids calling me names, and doing nothing, sometimes even laughing about what was going on. My P.E. teacher who I believe is still working here told me to stand behind all the other kids at an annual athletic event so that I could "give the kids who actually have a chance space." I've been told by a mother of another student that he was told the same thing. The teachers must have seen me self harm, but they did nothing. I even snuck out of class and tried to slit my throat and kill my self, but no one ever realized I was gone. When I came back with a minor but clearly visible dig in my neck I was never asked about it. Attending this school was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. Even as an adult I am haunted by the time I spent at this god awful school. I went through severe sexual abuse as a child, but I consider my experience at this school to be worse than that experience. No child deserves to be put through this hell hole. The only good thing that has come out of my awful experience is that I know to thoroughly monitor my daughter's elementary experience when she starts school. Do not send your child here. It is a place of abuse and neglect.

They have something called international tour day and it's when you get to learn about different cultures. It isn't strict at all. If you bully someone you will get expelled! This is an elementary school in northern Colorado Springs and in academy district 20. It is a more…read moreaffluent area of town but you can still bring your kids here through a program. I moved my kids here because the administration was a lot better than their original neighborhood school. My kids have loved it. Also the playground is ten times better than their old school. They recently enlarged their parking lot which makes it easier to pick up and drop kids. There is a drive up to pick up and drop off as well. My favorite program here is the dad volunteer program. It enables me to spend a day off with my kids when they are still in school.

This is the 3rd year of my son participating in school sports function against CSCS. I have never…read moreseen more unchristian acts from the students and some of the parents at a sports function as I have anywhere else. I do not make this statement lightly either. I called and emailed the school last year and received no response. There is absolutely no need to heckle, jeer, or swear at the opposing team or their family and friends. The school might have Christian in its name, however it does not appear in the character or hearts of the student body in or around your stands currently. The school and its parents need to hold these kids to the highest standard as they profess to represent our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
