Because of the nature of the business, you have to have an appointment, and must be let in by one of the staff. Going up the stairs, you see the attention bro derail in how the place is decorated. Upstairs, we signed in and waited for the person that their appointment was with. That person was awesome they took the time to chat with and explain the process. It really put my friend at ease. I can honestly say if I were going to get something pierced or inked, I'd feel comfortable and confident here.

Been meaning to write a review of this place for ages…read more Been to GPS on 5 occasions and always had a great experience. Rachel that works there is really cool and has some amazing piercings herself PLUS if you're a cat fan then talk to her as she loves cats too! Had a great conversation with her about all the FIV cats she takes in/looks after, so lovely. Not sure if they still do their out of hours service but it used to be with Debbie who is also super lovely and she has had some crazy shiz done such as temple implants and tongue-splitting (ouch!). The out of hours used to suit me fine because I used to go there just after my work and get Debbie to do all my piercings. It's basically a turn up and wait system so you just come in, take a seat and if you see anyone they'll ask you what you're in for and also help you with prices/jewellery. I never waited longer than 20mins. I think they're open Tues- Sat, 11 - 5pm Great ladies, great clean studio and great service. Definitely recommend this place for all your piercing and jewellery needs. Prices are decent and they have a great choice of jewellery too. A lot of people tend to get to Nirvana when in this area but GPS is just around the corner and should not be forgotten about. P.s. Just found out that Fiona who used to work for Forevemore is piercing here too also. She's also lovely so woo!

Things did not go well from the…read morestart as I made an appointment with Lyle who then contacted me to reschedule - twice (both times for personal reasons). I then rescheduled for a 1pm appointment but when I arrived I was told that Lyle was with another client and the work was more intricate than he first thought. I was given the option of having the work done by Nathan - I was sceptical as he was young so I asked if he was sure he could do the work whereupon he showed me several photos on his phone of work he had done previously, most of which appeared to be well done. I wanted two words (the nickname for my daughter ), a four word phrase, two music notes and a small Texas Bluebonnet flower. Nathan said they had tattooed Texas Bluebonnets before so he knew what they were and what they looked like. I showed him a photo of a tattoo of a bluebonnet my daughter had recently had done and which was beautiful. Nathan, told me, after he had finished the tattoo that he had problems with my older skin (I'm 73) - if that was the case he should have stopped at the first sign of a problem so we could discuss how to proceed -- but he didn't. What I ended up with was thick lettering, the one single music more resembling an exercise hand dumbbell and the Texas Bluebonnet looking nothing like a flower, rather it looks like a hairy blue banana which is going a little mouldy along its green centre line. I have been in contact with Stu the owner, who did offer suggestions in the form of more music notes, but the tattoo itself is so ugly that additional work would be like trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. I am now looking at over £1,000 to have the tattoo removed by a well-established dermatology business. As I am a pensioner, this is an extra cost I will have some difficulty paying, especially with today's excessively high cost of living. I suggested to Stu that perhaps I should be reimbursed the amount I paid to have this eyesore tattooed tattooed -- he said I should return to the shop and ask Nathan if he would reimburse the money. I live a considerable distance from Glasgow and with ferry fare, train fare and taxi I would have to pay out over £30 to return - and would Nathan reimburse my money - I doubt it. I may be a senior but I'm not stupid enough to throw good money after bad. Shame on you Stu, Nathan, Lyle and Hepcat Tattoo.

Hi After finding out…read moremy regular piercing store had closed down I had to find somewhere new to get my daith pierced. Otherworld isn't too far from my work so when I messaged the store to find out how much piercings were the info they gave me was exactly what I was looking for and then some. They told me how much standard piercings were and what jewellery they had. Gemma also then advised me about a special promotion they run and that is that any standard piercing is £15 if you visit on the last Friday of the month. I was sold and I made my appointment. A week later I went into the store to be greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Filled in my form quickly and then started looking at jewellery. It didn't take me very long to decide but I feel like even if it did the staff would have been patient and offered even more advice or recommendations. The store was spotless and has a minimalist style with comfortable seating which instantly put me at ease. Downstairs in the piercing room was more of the same. Clean and stylish. Equipment was all sterilised and opened in front of me and after some chit chat Gemma started walking me through what she was doing and I knew exactly when the tell tale pinch was coming and that was it. But inside is a spacious and labyrinth like studio, comprising of (I think) 3 tattoo rooms, and several more piercing rooms. You'll more than likely be greeted at reception by a chirpy wee blonde lass (whose name has escaped me for the moment) or one of their numerous, friendly apprentices, and whilst your waiting for your chosen procedure you can peruse their selection of merchandise, ranging from prints by resident tattooist Gillian Turner, hoodies, mugs, and body jewellery. The studios are bright and warm looking, but most importantly sterile and spotless. Strict hygiene procedures are in place, and all clients must complete a mandatory permission form and provide ID. I've been in numerous times now, once to have a piercing changed and, as you can see from the pictures added, be drawn on by the amazingly talented Gillian Turner (add Ink to see her professional fb page) and all the staff have been wonderfully friendly and chatty. I really couldn't imagine going elsewhere to have any body mods done.

No telephone call again to ask where I was and if I was not coming. Phones today to make new appointment, they say I have to travel back into Glasgow from Balloch to re-book and repay a new deposit. Advised of the situation, ie both parties at fault. NO they blame ME. no refund or tattoo. £60.00 out of pocket. Never dealing with them again.

The artist seemed ok during the consultation. I loved what she drew up she then told me the price i felt like i was being way over charged for what she was doing but loved the design so wasn't too bothered. She put the stencil on and got to work i tried to detract myself from the pain she didnt talk back and was out right rude to me. I started twitching that i couldnt help because i was in so much pain i was almost crying she said "can you just stop twitching". She was rude short tempered and made my tattoo experience horrible. After all that she stopped tattooing i looked at it in the mirror and it was unfinished she said she would add more if i came back and made another appointment. So after paying for 2 hours she stopped after an hour and a half. Would not recommend getting tattooed by this girl or going to this shop in general.
