I've yet to have any tattoos, but I came here when I wanted my belly piercing, and plan to return when I finalise my tattoo design.
The reception area is clean and well-lit, featuring a waiting area where you can flip through examples of Nadia's (the lovely tattoo-artist)work and magazines, and a glass-fronted counter full of various body piercings on offer at reasonable prices. I left not only with my belly bar, but a new nose stud and a nose ring, both of which I am very satisfied with.
Scott, the piercer, is quite simply one of the best people I have ever met and I would cheerfully let him stick needles in me again, were it not for the fact I already have everything I want pierced. He went through the various health, safety and legal bits with me before taking me into the piercing area of the shop. Like the reception area, it was very clean and well-lit, and separated from the tattooing area by a red curtain.
Scott took a few minutes working out exactly where to prod me with a needle- initially I wondered if he was being a little pedantic, but given how happy I am with my piercing's placing, I am now grateful for the time he spent drawing dots on my navel! He went through the procedure with me once more before actually carrying it out. Whilst I only have my ears and nose pierced, this was the quickest and least painful procedure I've endured thus far. Scott chatted to me throughout (he has some good chat on him- I'd recommend getting a piercing just for the conversation alone!) and went through the after-care with me before sending me on my merry way with my bejewelled navel.
I'd recommend Eclectic Ink in a heart beat and I'm looking forward to returning in a few weeks for my tattoo. Several friends speak very highly of Nadia's skills as a tattoo-artist and I'm looking forward to chatting with Scott again- and showing him that I cared for my piercing as instructed! read more
