I truly dislike this bank and the awful customer service. I have been a customer since 2004 and had…read morea so/so experience, but not bad enough to go through the torture of switching banks until my most recent encounter. I was at the bank making a deposit. I asked the teller if she would order checks for me on the same account, which she did. I got the check order and was a little annoyed that the checks started with 101 but whatever. I didn't look at the account number, which I should have but didn't. We have two checking accounts one of which we don't use that had a 0 dollar balance. She had ordered the checks on this account by mistake. We didn't catch the error until we had racked up $140.00 in fees(including the cost of the checks). I called customer service and they sent me to the branch. Got to the branch where I was told it was my fault, but they would look into it. They didn't even waive the check fee when they ordered the checks on the correct account. I never heard back and have since switched banks.

When I attempted to transfer monies from my existing financial to Bluestone I found out that it electronically takes 1 week. One day after the allotted time had passed, I tried to log-in to my account to no avail. I contacted the main office, and after a brief time on hold, the rep came back and said that my account has been closed due to a zero balance! Are you kidding me?? This was the worst banking experience I have ever been a part of in my 70+ years and if I could have rated it less than 1, I would have done so!

Great experience. We did re-finance with Poli group. Initially, we called several loan officers…read morefor the re-finance rates, among which Poli has the best rate at 15 years fixed. So we started the business with them. The closing was extremely fast. It took us only 23 days to close!! I was told that they lock the rate for 25 days, which is probably why the rate is lower as longer locking period would require a higher cost and you have to pay for it, either through closing fee or a higher interest rate. But this locking period is enough for re-fin since their process is very fast. They did say that if for some unfortunate reason the process does not close within 25 days due to their issue, they will extend it for a longer locking period. We did not go through that pain and was able to close with 25 days! Overall, it was a great experience for us. We highly recommend Poli Mortgage Group and will definitely be back again when doing another loan.

We reached out to remortgage our home (with such good rates right now!) and have barely received a coherent response. The first time we asked for 4 different scenarios (15 year, 30 year, etc) and the email we got only outlined one. The second time we asked for someone else, and he called back with follow up questions, then sent back an email. No grammar, no formatting (something that should be sent in a table is sent in a spaced out in a document that's impossible to read). I work at a IT finance consulting firm. When we send quotes to our clients, it's sent in a formatted excel doc or in a portal that they can access all the information. Our rates weren't as good as the friend who recommended us, which I understand is sometimes the circumstance, but the email's we've received have felt like no one is paying any attention. I want someone who's going to listen to our needs and hit the details right!

In all that time, I have never once considered switching banks. I frequently visit the Rumford office and the staff there are always a pleasure to see; they even show great kindness to my dog. The team is consistently able to answer my questions with ease, and while I sometimes miss staff members when they are transitioned to other locations, the high quality of service makes it easy to adjust to new faces. Thank you for providing such excellent service over the years. Best regards, Ellen Dumont
