I live in a duplex and my neighbors recently had a new driveway poured by this company. My boyfriend and I both work away from home during the day and we leave very early in the morning. We drive a work vehicle so our personal vehicles stay parked in our driveway as we do not drive them often. We were never notified by this company on which dates work would begin. Upon returning home while they were pouring concrete, I noticed several splashes on my car. We spoke with the workers that day and they assured us that the concrete would come off easily and not to worry about it. About 2 weeks later, we noticed that the splashes did not come off and were hardened. We called the number listed for Rockhard Concrete and spoke with the owner, Matt Cronin. Matt became very defensive and refused to offer any help up front. He stated that they had knocked on our door several times during the day that concrete was poured. When we explained that we work away from home, he told us it was our fault for waiting so long and there was nothing he could do. He refused to give any insurance information and stated that his company has never damaged any property belonging to others. However, I found a photo on the website of a recently poured sidewalk and it shows multiple concrete splatters all along the bottom of the red house. By the end of the conversation, he told me that he would start by paying for an exterior detail and we could move forward from there. I scheduled the detail and let Matt know that the detailer would be reaching out to him for payment. In the meantime, we noticed concrete splashes all over the front of our home and our garage door. I let Matt know about this in the text messages. He has not responded to any messages thus far. When I tried to call him and the only number listed on their website, it states that the number has been disconnected. Essentially, Matt has ignored me since our initial conversation when I brought the damage to his attention. It is clear that he has no intention to fix obvious damages to an innocent bystander caused by his company. read more
