They were stellar with handling the children during Covid and allowing them to play and learn while introducing them to martial arts. After that program ended they followed up and we decided to enroll our 9 year old into their Martial arts program. So far all staff and other parents have been super helpful and welcoming. My son enjoys his class and I enjoy all the scheduling and class options. I must also note their communication, facility, and systems are the best. There so ahead with the contactless options, app, and roadmap which is vital as a new participant. I am always kept informed early on of what's going on with any changes or updates. Their YouTube content has also been very helpful and I often refer to it when I have a curiosity. The Pure…read morefacility has more than tripled in size since 2015, and has turned into one of the largest, most state of the art MMA facilities in NJ. They have also grown an amazing kids and adults isshinryu karate program that started in 2019, and their women's Jiu Jitsu team has grown exponentially as well - making it the biggest woman led, women's only Jiu Jitsu programs in New Jersey. It has turned into one of the most sought after places to train, with multiple members who travel more than 45 minutes to train there. I can't express into words how welcoming the community is to people of all walks of life, all experience levels - whether you are coming alone or with your entire family. I highly recommend checking them out!

Afterwards, there was fun core work too. The gym itself is clean, spacious, and has plenty of your typical CrossFit equipment. They also offer Krav Maga (self defense). Had the experience of training at two different Tiger Sch. One apparently wasn't teaching some…read moremoves correctly. It also became boring and repetitive very quickly. I've also taken traditional martial arts and there is definitely a way to teach different moves and techniques without it becoming mundane. Communication was great when they wanted to offer me options that cost more money but as soon as I ran into an issue with continuing classes, communication was reduced to a minimum. You can only train in their brand of gear which is pricey, especially if you train with your family. The instructor's can be good teachers but at the end of the day it seems like it's all about money and the Tiger Sch. corporation.
