As part of my project, they removed several 50+year-old rare peony plants that were meant to be…read morepreserved by having the hardscape created as a memorial garden. Ever since I gave them kind and honest feedback about their lack of management on my job leading to those plants being lost, they have done everything possible to avoid fixing costly mistakes they left that were never part of the project scope to begin with. TL;DR: Villa doesn't know the difference between nutrient dense seeding soil used for planting grass seed and plants versus dirty landscaping fill with pulverized stone and gravel used for leveling landscaping, grading and creating the foundation for hardscapes - in case you're confused, one kind grows stuff and the other doesn't, yet these experts who've been in business for 30+ years seem to have no clue about this difference. To cosign another reviewer, "I have never encountered such a poorly managed job. They did a job done, but it came with a lot of stress and distress and disappointments. Please use another company."

HIGHLY Recommend MDT Quality Tree Services…read more We had a tough tree removal job and MDT Quality Tree Services absolutely delivered. The tree was leaning awkwardly between our pool and fence, so it required skill and precision. Jason and his team handled the felling expertly and brought the tree down safely without any issues. Their price was very fair, which we especially appreciated since we had just moved and needed the job done safely but as affordably as possible. We only needed the tree taken down and chose not to pay for debris removal, and they were great about placing the debris exactly where we asked so we could handle it ourselves after it is seasoned. Jason and his crew were professional, efficient, and easy to work with. The job was completed exactly as promised. We will absolutely be using MDT Quality Tree Services again and would highly recommend them to anyone needing tree work done well at a great price.

I tried to contract American Landscape to do some drainage work at my house. I originally had a…read moreconsultation set up for Saturday (and had scheduled my day around making sure to be at my house during the scheduled time), and was called 1 hour ahead of the appointment to be told that Greg would not be able to make it on time. I understand that delays happen and wasn't super broken up about it, so I called the offices and had the appointment rescheduled for 3:30 on Sunday. Come Sunday, Greg calls to confirm the appointment. We confirmed that the appointment was made for 3:30, but I had a flexible schedule so I let him know that if later works for him then we could meet at that time, though the 3:30 time would also work if he preferred. He suggested meeting at 4, which was completely agreeable to me. Indeed, at 4 he came by and said hello while I was speaking with my tenants out front. The conversation was to inform them about a worker who would be replacing the locks in their apartment and to nail down some leasing details, so I told Greg I would meet him in the back yard shortly. At 4:05 (according to my phone), I went to the back and Greg was nowhere to be found. I circled the property looking, to no avail. At this point (approximately 4:07) I called his cell, and he very curtly informed me that I "made a mistake by making him wait", and to "not call the company ever again". In Summary: American Landscaping cancelled the initial consultation session for the originally scheduled day, was allotted another 30 minute extension for the rescheduled appointment, and then drove off without a word when I had the audacity to take 5 minutes to complete a conversation with my tenants. This behavior is confusingly unprofessional.
