I've been going here for many years and last year, my husband and I wanted to take our son out again on a stand up paddle board. I had taken him out alone before but this time it was the 3 of us. My son is 10 years old, 4'8, and 80 Lbs(I'm only 5' tall and 110 Lbs) and they refused to let him rent one. The staff said they had a rule that you must be a certain age (16/17) or size to rent one by law. The funny part is, I've taken my son there weeks prior and it wasn't mentioned, but that day that my son was refused a rental, the man that runs the concession, was there and he made the comment about this 'rule'. The ironic part is, that he lets his granddaughter, who is only 11 or 12 years old at the most, use them. I know this, because I used to be very close and familiar with the family. I suppose now that I'm not in their 'circle', I nor my family can enjoy the same benefits or activities as the owners family members. Completely unprofessional and rude. Not good for business. read more
